Ds woke up with ice cold feet. We had our heat on at 67. He refuses sleep sacks, doesn't like wearing socks to bed, and footie pjs really made him angry.
There's no other option right? Which one do you think he's likely to accept? I'd love to get him in footie pjs for winter. He runs cold and he's 20 months.
My DD had a slipper obsession at that age. Get some fun ones and see what happens?
Does it bother him? Both my kids like to be barefoot too and I think their feet are freezing. They both don't seem to care so I don't usually fight it.
DS has cold feet like me. Around 2ish when he started complaining about cold feet, I took him to Target and let him pick out socks. Luckily he picked out fluffy plain white socks.
ETA: we have hardwood floors that get pretty cold. DS loooves his HA slipper socks. Those might be a good option too.
Both of my kids like sleeping with cold feet. They are weird. DD will kick her bare feet out from under the covers even when the rest of her is bundled up in them.
DS refuses socks (most of the time) and hates footie pajamas. He's pretty warm most of the time and even if his feet get cold it doesn't seem to bother him. I would just let him be unless he is waking up in the middle of the night because he is cold.
What about Zutano fleece booties? They're soft and he can't pull them off. I mean, maybe at 20 months he could figure it out, I don't know, I'm only dealing with an 8 month old currently.

This is probably true - no he's not waking and doesn't seem to be bothered. But cold feet were enemy #1 of my mother & grandmother....
DD ends up taking her socks off during the night, so I'll usually just go and put a light blanket over the bottom of her legs to keep her feet warm. The blanket will stay over her feet about half the time, but she doesn't seem to be bothered by her feet being cold, so I don't worry about it too much.

I'd keep trying footie pajamas. ds only likes cotton ones, no fleece. but i'd also sneak in after he's asleep and place a blanket over him (waist down) if he has bare feet.
did you try the early walker sleep sacks? ds doesn't mind those. His feet will still stick out but at least his body would stay warmer. Ds didn't like having his legs/feet trapped in a regular sleep sack once he was over 10 months old.
I would put socks or slippers on…if he takes them off and doesn't seem to be bothered by having cold feet, then oh well I guess? LOL. My DD has just recently figured out how to put the blanket over herself so maybe he'll learn how to "fix" it himself if his feet get cold?
