I want to AW Henry, share cute things your kids have done too .
Yesterday we had friends over and they figured out it was Henry's half-birthday. He got so excited about it. The whole day he would say so happily "It's my half birthday!". He loves birthdays, his or other people's. When it was my mom's birthday, she said the best part of her party was how excited Henry was, that he would give her a hug and exclaim "It's your birthday!!".
I took Henry to McDonalds for a car picnic to celebrate. He thinks that is the best (a pic to follow in the next post).
My mom came up to visit yesterday afternoon, so naturally Henry thought it was for his half birthday. After his nap, he asked about his cake. So... I indulged him and went to Publix and got him some cupcakes.
I feel like this post isn't doing a great job at articulating how sweet he was about it, it was fun to make him so happy with the simplest little things. He is so loving, I eat it up. I also can't believe he is 3 and a half.
It IS a big deal to sit up front!!! Joshua was singing the alphabet song this morning, then he said "Let's sing it backwards from Z to A!" and he actually knew the first 10 letters!!!!!

Whoa, that is impressive... I don't think I can do that without really thinking (or writing it down, lol).
Carter blew me away on his scooter yesterday. He was doing all sorts of tricks like holding one leg up in an arabesque, crouching down and hopping up, hopping from foot to foot, and crouching with one leg extended - what we called "shoot the duck" at the roller rink when I was a kid - all while deftly weaving between the Sunday crowds in Central Park.
This morning he scootered (scooted?) to the top of our block and then rolled backwards down the hill. He figured out how to steer in reverse and didn't hit anyone!
A loves to shake his head back and forth like he's saying "no" and grinning while doing it. He also hears every single bird and airplane and signs them when outside.
G loves telling made up stories about unicorns, Pegasus, foxes, and princesses. I overhear her telling stories to her stuffed animal "babies" regularly.

When I was putting D to bed last night she made a funny noise so I leaned down to kiss her. She said "woof!" And licked my face and then said "I am a puppy. I love you."
We went to a birthday party yesterday at an indoor playarea. Another mum was worried her kid was stuck/scared inside the tunnel area so i asked A to go and check on him and he did such a good job I could hear him telling the pther boy not to worry and that they were nearly out and then they emerged with A holding the other boy's hand.
I always bring home leftover pastries from Sunday brunch, and on Mondays A gets to have one for breakfast. As I gave him some coffee cake this morning, he gasped, and said "Wow Mom, you are such a sweetie! You are the best pastry chef in the world! I love you!" I know it was all because he was having a treat, but that was one of those times he should have asked me for a puppy and I would have done it

Louie: Can count to twenty. He did it randomly, and i was shell shocked. I mean he just started really talking a lot the last month or so, so everyday im stunned by what he does! I was sad the other day, and he comes up to me and says, "you ok mama?"
Also we went grocery shopping, and we had a long list, and was pretending to read to us, and just saying the random letters he recognized. He also spelled MICKEY. I caught it on video! Sweetest kid ever.
Zoey can solidly sit now, andddd shes army crawling and officially mobile. Actual crawling she is getting closer to everyday. Her eyes are bright blue, and smile just slays me.
Louie gets zoeys face when shes crying, and says "its ok, Zoezoe!" Cannot deal.
I had turned on the TV which defaults to the local news channel. Lillian said "Can you please turn this off, it's obnoxious". LOL. She has also been telling her dolls they are "so precious". I love her big words!
We haven't had strawberries in several weeks since the price went back up, but I got some the other day on sale. When I brought them out to W for her snack, she said, "Strawberries! My favorite! Thank you so much, Mommy!"
The other night I told Calvin, "let's go tuck Lincoln into bed." And he ran in there, covered Lincoln up with blankets, kissed him and said "nigh nigh, rihrin." It was adorable!! It was totally unexpected.
And then right now, Calvin is sleeping on me, and Lincoln said "I'm going to pet Calvin's head once" and then he whispered, "I love you so much, Calvin." and kissed him. <3
