Mine was good - finished up the convention on Saturday, which was awesome, and did literally nothing but spend money and wtch tv yesterday. My town car (see yesterday's am randoms, I think?) is coming at 11, so I'm just diddling around on the internet and enjoying being alone with no one to bother me for a couple more hours. Also trying to figure out how to fit all my crap into two checked bags, my backpack, and my purse. I'm going to have to expand my suitcase. LOL
From the random category, I woke up this morning at 6:30 when some dumb company decided it was a good time to start cutting up the concrete sidewalks with one of those saws. I'm on the 15th floor and it was literally like they were in my room. Also, there are two music-group-style buses parked in front of the hotel and I've been googling all morning to try to figure out who it is.

Pretty good, I got some sewing done on a skirt I bought material for more than a year ago (then found out I was pregnant). I should be able to finish it this week I bet, and then pack it away for spring because it is a light weight denim linen fabric...lol!
Our pool will be closed tomorrow. The water is so green and I decided to stop caring. With DH OOT and twin infants in the house they pool has hit the IDGAF level of caring. I can deal with it in the spring when I have twin toddlers.
But the sun is shining today, and I will be sure to get outside to enjoy it!
Morning all - I honestly can't remember all the crap we did - between getting our beachhouse ready for the hurricane that didn't come (but we are READY for next time lol!!!), cleaning out the beach house garage of the previous owner's stuff/crap (10 contractor bags worth), and then coming home and working on the kitchen ceiling/putting in new light fixture....it was good and busy.
The weekend was fun. On Saturday we went to the Food & Wine festival at Epcot. It was really crazy crowded, and it was hot out, but we had an afternoon thing booked at the fancy French restaurant and didn't want to ruin our appetite, so we didn't really spend time waiting in lines or anything, although we did taste the vegan short ribs at the South Korea booth and mussels from the New Zealand booth. We had fun wandering around and looking to see what looked good, and we'll come back a few more times during the festival...the advantage of living nearby having annual passes.
The French restaurant experience was amazing. We couldn't have asked for better companions at the table...so good that we were among the first seated and the last to leave. The waiter kept topping off our glasses with wonderful nice, dry champagne, and the food was delicious. It was a really nice way to spend an afternoon.
Yesterday was more low key. A lazy morning, DH made a big breakfast, errands and then a little work around the house and garden....emphasis on 'little.' DH had to pack and left for a business trip at 4"00 this morning.
Weekend: It was productive. I worked on homework. We went shopping for a few necessities, and I bought a stupid toy raven that mimics anyone who speaks. It's fantastic. Yesterday we pulled some weeds and laid mulch.
Randoms: Last night we found out that H's best friend living in Taiwan may be visiting soon, and I feel like I need to whip the house into shape now. I don't have time! Also, H's parents said they will probably not be going to Louisville for MIL's Thanksgiving dinner. So, now I'm contemplating hosting T-day at our house so his parents can have a proper dinner (who knows if it will be FIL's last) and my parents can come.
DH did crown moulding for the first time. It's not perfect but it saved a lot of money? Here's hoping no one checks the corners too closely and it looks better once caulked and painted
It was alright aside from a nagging headache. Did some fung shui in the living room, pondered my career, read some of "The Compound Effect". Then this morning found out someone that I hugely admired passed away which lead to more life contemplation.

Went on the farm tour. Saw the oyster, lavender, and pumpkin farms. There was a ton more open. But you can't possibly get to them all. We ate BBQ, while listening to blue grass band play at the lavender farm. H even drank lavender soda! Ate oysters and enjoy a marine touch tank. Then we went to the pumkin patch took a ton of pictures and all was going great. Till Mia got stung by a bee. Lol She totally lost it and that was the end of that.

It was cold as hell this morning (glad I brought a jacket), but the sun came out. YAY! We had a catered lunch but the caterers RAN OUT OF FOOD. The bpeople at the beginning of the line ate MOUNTAINS of food so by the time the last person was served, there were literally just SCRAPS. It was a HUGE, HUGE fail. Like EPIC. I skipped the social tonight and went to Nordstrom Rack and a couple other stores, then got a pedicure. I bought take out at Whole Foods and still have half a bottle of wine. Now I'm watching cable in my room, polishing off my wine, and I am not regretting my decision.
