Unless your RE would increase progesterone under some circumstance or the bleeding is such that your health is at risk, I don't think there's much they can do.
I know you definitely want to be checked to make sure everything is okay, but unless your anxiety is at such a level that you feel your health is seriously at risk, I would wait until you are back.
I had to have progesterone treatments too--it's very stressful. Hang in there!

I have no idea, but I would call back and ask to speak to the doctor, not the nurse, just for reassurance at least. I was on progesterone til 12 weeks, that is when I was told the placenta starts making the proper amount of progesterone on its own. But I am not a doctor, so maybe I'm wrong. My progesterone was incredibly low, though.
I'd call back and ask to speak to the dr. Why did they want you to stop? I haven't done fertility treatments/taken progesterone but I have friends that have. They were on progesterone until 12 weeks when the placenta generally takes over production of progesterone. I'd call to clarify why they had you stop and what to do.
I'm sorry you are dealing with this, especially when away from home. Hugs.
Do you have enough progesterone to just continue taking it anyways? Are you doing suppositories in addition to the PIO, or just PIO? 8w is a little early to stop compared to what many REs do, but it's pretty widely acknowledged that it's not needed as long as many do it. I never did PIO and only had supps, but it makes biological sense that you could have some bleeding in response to stopping progesterone while still having a completely healthy baby with a placenta that is making an appropriate amount. However, I know how anxious I was and I would probably have called back to insist on talking to the actual RE.
I would not bother with urgent care, there is nothing they can do for you.
I stopped progesterone at 12 weeks and had bleeding so they had me stay on for another 3 weeks. From what I've read recently and what my current RE says, progesterone supplements are really given to put the mom at ease, not because they have really strong research showing it can prevent a miscarriage. My RE stopped prescribing it except for cases where there is recurrent miscarriages due to low progesterone.
I think 8-10 weeks gestational age is a common stopping point. I went off at 10 wks. My RE's office said that half of their patients with successful pregnancies have bleeding episodes. I really hope it's nothing.
pugz, progesterone is typical for IVF cycles since there may not be a functional corpus luteum after follicle aspiration. It's a slightly different situation.
