the dark brown is $264 which isn't a bad price for fryes
Also the shaft height is 15 inches. The boots I ordered, I just checked and the shaft height is 16 inches so I think 15 inches would be an ideal height.
I just looked and the crew boots I have are 15 3/4 inches and they're too tall for me (I still wear them but when I sit I feel the top dig into my knee) so 15 would be better.
yes that's the issue with the ones I have, when I sit they did in.
I think 15 would be perfect.
now I'm going to end up buying even more boots. lol
Okayyyyy rjamz just sent me these and they may be a game changer
Pretty sure those are going to be my Hannukah present this year. Or my "I just pushed out a baby someone buy me boots" present. Or both. Black for one, brown for the other
I ordered a pair of Frye's and Ada kept asking why I had cowboy boots lol. I returned them; not because of that though. I prefer the cognac color. They were really well made and seemed comfortable in the foot.
Not to sound contrary, and maybe it's a climate thing, but people hardly wear tall boots here. The jeans in boots look has gone, and short boots are all I see everywhere.
I am loving this tall-boot discussion and I wish I could get some and have reason to wear them!
lol I have had this happen trying on boots in public before. So embarrassing. I have a high arch, and I think that's what makes it so hard to get my foot down into them. If it's a less structured style it's fine, but otherwise I need a zipper.
*following this thread because I still want new boots**
yes as I tugged, sweaty faced, I felt like yelling at those around me "this is my size, I SWEAR"
This how I am trying on jeans. Or any pants really.
