And then I have to buy sunflower seeds somewhere along the way, along with a bottled Starbucks vanilla frappuccino (for the sunflower seed shells, of course). And husband always has to get a red or orange Fanta, depending on which he can find.
This. And thanks for this post... now I am thinking of all of the crap I'll eat next week when I have to drive 12+ hours with the dog and 2 cats in the car with me.
Hmm Xanax sounds like a great snack for everyone in your car. lol
I just came back from the vet with kitty tranquilizers. So I think we're set. The dog loves riding in the car and he'll be great.

I put sliced fruit in mason jars in the cooler. It is easy to pull out and eat, things like diced mellon, grapes, and mango. You can do berries too, but they are messier. I got the idea from this place: lottafrutta.com/fresh-cut-fruit-cups/
We also usually have berries, and maybe bananas or apples
Other random things: chips (individually small bags or a can of Pringles), something sweet (usually cookies, but maybe small candy bars, depending on what's around the house), goldfish and cracker packs
