The Cubs wild card game is tonight (go Cubs!) I love living near Wrigley Field in general but the neighborhood is gonna be nuts tonight! Especially if (when) they win.
Jamie is really excited. He's become a huge Cubs fan. He's actually pretty sure he plays for the Cubs. And if you ask him about the White Sox he goes "The White Sox are garbage!! They're not my team! Their stadium smells!"
I'm watching the Today Show and they're doing a story about a guy in Georgia who builds bikes for underprivileged kids and how thieves have been stealing the bikes (wtf??) and the Today Show bought a bunch of new bikes for the kids. It makes me want to cry, it's so sweet.
My polyhydramnios has gotten pretty bad and it's become extremely uncomfortable. I know it worried my doctor yesterday because he casually threw out working me in for an ultrasound at the end of my appointment "just to look around a little." He came in the room during the ultrasound which is totally unusual. The last time he did that was the day we found out about Avery (ie: because something was wrong) so I felt like I was going to puke the entire time. I managed to hold it together while we were in the room, but burst into tears as soon as I walked into the parking lot.
The good news is that Libby looks healthy and there doesn't seem to be a medical issue for all of the extra fluid. (With Avery it was because she wasn't able to swallow, but could still urinate.) She looks to be right around 8 lbs. I cannot wait for her to be here so that I can stop worrying about delivery and just kiss her sweet face!

I'm so glad she's looking healthy! I can't wait to see her and I hope you have an easy labor and delivery!
The marathon is this weekend, which is usually lots of fun, but it means all the hotels downtown are booked or cost a fortune because only the crazy expensive presidential suites are left. Our block party is this weekend and I was kind of hoping to avoid it with a fun family weekend downtown.

We just got back from Disney last night...I'm exhausted and wish I had a day to relax before heading back to work. But here I sit, with an extra large cup of coffee.
I think Juliet might be teething. She jams her hands in her mouth and chews on them like crazy. Last night she was screaming before bed while I was trying to nurse her and I read that it could be that the sucking was increasing pressure on her gums. I realllly hope she's not teething yet. I'm going to having to feel around and see.
careyalis I'm so glad Libby is doing well and now you know you get to meet her soon! So close! (I have a student named Libby this year and she's so sweet. It's such a nice name).

I've only had one student with the name and she is super sweet and adorable. I told her mom thanks for having good kids so that I still like the name .

This is my 2nd. They are both awesome. The first one is already graduated and in the military and trains therapy dogs on the side for charity. Isn't that wonderful!? They are both Elizabeth. Is your Libby an Elizabeth?
Being a teacher can really ruin names sometimes. Like Ethan, that used to be my favorite before I started working.

Mine is Elizabeth too (so is former student ). Yeah, I always thought I'd have a Jack. Nope!
I'm officially in 2nd trimester today!! I just found out yesterday that one of my cousins is also expecting with a due date just 2 days ahead of me! I'm excited to have a pregnancy buddy!
My random is that my nephew DH's brother's son is studying in Paris and his "deep" IG post are simultaneously making my nostalgic for Paris, laugh, and miss my youth. Today there was a photo with a comment along the lines of "Can't believe this is still standing tall, 1,500 years later".
Yeah, it was the Porte St Denis, which I know well (my BFF lived near it). It's only, like 350 years old. The phrase is overused, but I honestly LOL'd.
Biting my tongue but also missing the know-it-all confidence of youth.
I'm at the OB early and it's at the hospital H works at. I'm basically stalking him since I haven't seen him very much, lol. But alas, I can't find him, so I'm sitting in an area I'm pretty sure he passed through hoping to catch him. Pathetic? Romantic? Pathmantic?
I'm making new mom friends! Yes! It's so hard for me to make friends on my own now that I'm an adult. It was so easy in school! You made friends because you saw them everyday and what else were you going to do? There's two moms at preschool that seem so nice and A likes their daughters. I hope our first play dates are fun! I know our kids get along, I just hope us adults have stuff in common.
careyalis Good luck tomorrow! I had oligohydraminos, the opposite of what you have. I understand that worry and need to get her out. At some point it's safer on the outside than inside. I can't wait to see her!
I found out that a vasectomy is free with our insurance! I'm not sure if this is a new thing with Obamacare but it is nice to know we don't have to save up for it now Now I have to decide when to make the final decision. Like I know we are done but ugh the 100% thing sucks lol.
Clara is kicking and squirming so much at night plus nursing more. I'm not getting enough sleep. She has her 4 month appt today and vaccines. I'm going to try and get myself a flu shot and may flu mist while we're there.
