While I'm not unhappy with the news, exactly, I do wonder what this means for the release of book #3. Authors who become heavily involved in making movies off their books tend to stop actually writing books, at least until the movie making thing is done.
I'm thrilled. It's more than I could've hoped for! Martin seems to have paved the way for fantasy to become more mainstream and I am eating it up. They things I've been reading since I was a teen is finally cool!
Meh. I'm indifferent really. I just want the next book already.
This is how I feel. He sold the trilogy as one monstrous but completed book and the publisher told him just to edit it down to three books so they could sell it as a trilogy. Deep down I know it's unfair of me because it's his work but I get so irritated that it's not finished and he keeps picking up other stuff and delaying it further.
