I'm wearing polka dot tights, and some of the dots are hearts. They're a little cutesy, but I think I like them. They're Kate Spade brand and I got them for like $8 clearance, marked down from $30 (which is ridiculous for tights).
Remember yesterday I was talking about the 80s outfit I need to plan for an event later this month? When I came downstairs this morning my husband told me I "don't look 80s enough" so I'll take that as a good sign since today is NOT the 80s day! LOL.
Uggggggggh. DH and I went to look at a house last night (on our own, we haven't spoke with the REA yet) and I'm in love. It doesn't look to need any work (unlike the past 2 houses we looked at - one we put in a full price offer and didn't get because we didn't put 20% down and they lowered the price 3 weeks later so I feel better about it, haha). UGH. We have so much stuff coming up financially this month that we're going to wait a few weeks and if it's still there, we'll put in an offer. It's been on the market for 6 months, I think.
I was on the fence about wanting a house and if it doesn't work out I won't be too heartbroken but ahhhhhh
House shopping is so emotional. It might be worse than dating, LOL.
I have to drop the dogs off to be boarded. I'm so sad. I'm going to miss them so much over the next week. I hate taking them to be boarded because they are crazy during car rides and I end up being stressed out, mad, and scratched up when I drop them off. Then as soon as I get back to the car, I feel bad that I didn't give them a better goodbye. Ugh.
Today is my Friday and tomorrow I'm off to one of my favorite cities (SF) to see some of my favorite people, attend a wedding, and eat my face off! <) (hot)
Is this the wedding where we helped pick your dress? Which one did you go with? (I'm so nosey.)
I am back in the office today! I know I am going to get yelled at twice by my least favorite client. I am counting down the days until this project ends...
Barney got stung at least twice by a wasp while out on a walk with me (I actually pulled it out of his fur under his leg, so lucky I didn't get stung). He's in a bit of pain (was limping earlier) and now is refusing to move from his current space on the floor, even for his favourite treat, a carrot. Poor guy. I hope he feels better soon.

What would cause one side of your body to go numb? DH is concerned because when he had blood drawn and got a flu shot yesterday, he didn't feel the needle.
IEEE, the sky is falling and he thinks he's on the verge of another major medical crisis. Sweet God, I hope not because we barely made it through the last one
I had fasting blood work this morning. I'm off on my caffeine and eating schedule bleh.
I would die if I had most people's commutes on this board. As mentioned above with the lack of caffeine this morning, I forgot to put dinner going in the crock pot. Luckily, DD1's preschool is 3 minutes from my house and I live 5 minutes from work so I was able to drop her off at preschool, run home and get to work and not be late.
Also, did all of my fellow VW lovers see that VW is pulling its 2016 diesel line up? Saw that coming.
Eff. I'm pretty passed about the sportwagen TDI being so terrible for the environment. I want a refund of some kind and I want them to do something to offset the 2 years of environmental damage that I've done driving a dirty diesel. Like save the rainforest or something.

I've been having a lot of anxiety at work lately and today it's out of control. I can't seem to focus on my to-do list and instead of hunkering down, I came here.
H's birthday is in a few weeks and I am at a loss at what to get him. We've made some big purchases - namely a new TV that he talked me into (okay I didn't need much convincing)and I'm drawing a blank. Gifts are his love language so I need to come up with something.

Something to go with the TV? A new DVD player, nice universal remote, good cables, etc...
One of our cats has been peeing on the floor in the basement. We thought we knew which one it was, but weren't positive. DH bought a super cheap security camera that alerts our phones whenever there's movement detected, so now we know who the pee-er is.
Also, it is bringing me great joy to spy on the cats from work since I get alerts whenever one of them walks by the camera. Now that we know who the pee-er is, we're going to reposition the camera somewhere else in the house for better cat spying, lol.

Oh this a great place to start! We wall mounted so anything wireless we be fantastic. Thanks!
milsaroo He's big into football, hunting, carpentry and bicycling. I just remembered that he mentioned needing some artwork or a picture to hang in his office.

YES! I've always wanted to do this with my dogs. One of the daycare places we use has a doggie cam in their play area and I spend most of the day watching them when we take them there. What kind of camera are you using?

I'm not sure. It much be an Izon something since that's the name of the app, but DH bought the camera, set it up, and put the app on my phone so I'm honestly not sure.

Do you have a Roku? The new one has an infrared remote and I love it.
This is cheezy, but DH loves his wall mounted TV and recently bought these TV lights that go behind it and project colored lights onto the wall. They look pretty awesome, even though I teased him mercilessly about it. He got them at IKEA.

I'm insanely stressed. There's a bunch of work stuff going on that I can't really post about. Some of it is great, some of it very much isn't. I have so much more work to do than i can handle. Boyfriend and I were watching Game of Thrones last night and a scene triggered a full on flash back for me. I'm OK (well sort of ok) but still not 100%. Rocko got sick this morning all over the new area rug after I left for work so I'm worried about my pup and it will be $$$ to have it cleaned.
I just want to curl up in a corner and make my pup better and not deal with work crazy.
I just found out that DD2 got asked out on a date. She's 9. The little boy got down on one knee. DD2 said "Ok, I guess" and then got embarrassed and ran away.
Luckily, said little boy lives down the road. His dad is a former LSU and Tampa Bay football player so hopefully he keeps him in line! Lolol.

I didn't feel my flu shot either (I got it earlier today!). Is his body actually numb or are those the only 2 reasons why he is worried? Sometimes needles don't hurt. That's a good thing!
I got free tickets to the college football game on Saturday! My coworker was giving them away and I guess I responded the quickest.
I need to figure out something to give her for them - money? A gift? If money, IDK how much... I can't do face value (which is why I didn't have tickets to begin with) but could do something.
I'm trying to convince H that we need to upgrade to a king size bed rather than get another queen. I just offered to let him pick the couch set he wants if I get a king bed.

Nice . Not money, a gift card would do the trick, but I'd rather do a small gift.
I am still on a listserv from when I chaired my neighborhood's social committee. I'm not even technically on the committee anymore, but I think they are refusing to acknowledge this. Anyway, one of the neighbors somehow got on the list. I barely know her! Her daughter apparently acts at a local theater. At one of last year's outings, she practically browbeat people into agreeing to attend one of her plays. I said no, because...well, does this really require an explanation? Several months ago, she stuck some mailer in my mailbox about another one. I ignored. Last month, she emailed the listserv asking if anyone wanted to go to another one. Again, I ignored. Well, a week or so later, she sends another email with my name and the names of two other neighbors who didn't respond asking if anyone had another way to get in touch with us because apparently the initial email went to spam! What, lady? Who does this? So I emailed her back, explained that I was traveling and not really plugged in, but no, I would not be able to attend. Just now, she sent another email saying the play date has been changed and who can make it now? I don't want to say I'm never ever going to make it because that seems rude, but am I really destined to keep refusing these invites until I move or this daughter has a big break? I don't know why the new chair won't tell her to stop it, this isn't appropriate for the listserv.

I'm itching to move but H won't get on board with it. We purchased my grandma's house after she passed because the family was looking to get rid of it and we were desperate for someplace to live. It has served us well but it isn't what I want anymore and would love to pick out something that feels more 'ours'. H is happy in our home though and doesn't want to leave after all the TLC we have put in so he refuses to even consider moving.

Can you renovate to get what you want? Is it also a location issue?

It's a little bit of everything. It's a ranch style which isn't my favorite. I like my city but out house is on a busy street which isn't a major issue but I would like a more quiet neighborhood/small town feel. Plus because it is a 'family home' there is an underlying expectation that we will host family events because that is where everything is was when it was g-ma's house. I can and have said no but it gets old.
I think the main thing is that I get antsy. I don't like being in the same place for too long, after 8 years I am ready for a change of scenery.

It's kind of funny, you would expect it to be the other way--that you wouldn't want to leave your grandmother's house and your H would be the one willing to move. If I were you, I'd want to move, too. I don't know how you sell your H...maybe start sending him listings just so he can see what you guys could have.
