Just one more day and fall break will be here. Why didn't we have fall breaks when I was in college all those years ago.
I had an asthma attack In class toda, well it started and I left the room to finish. . Good news, I'm okay and one of the teachers sat with me til it was over. Bad news, I was a little embarrassed. Why, I don't now. I haven't had an attack in ages.
Yay for break. Boo for an asthma attack. I'm glad you're okay.
My husband is so dramatic and such an attention seeker.
He hurt his eye over the weekend, got something in it. It was still bugging him on Monday, so he went to the minute clinic and they diagnosed him with a bacterial infection--something scraped his eye, then bacteria got in it. Gave him drops for the week. He stayed home from work Monday, and left early Tuesday because it was bothering him. It was bothering him so bad today, he went to the eye doc (which he should have done in the first place). Turns out he had a shard of metal in there and it had a rust ring on it. he had it removed and drops put in and has a patch. I'm glad we've figured out what it was and he's on the mend.
I am dreading going home. He is going to milk this for all its worth. He's already sent multiple photos of the patch, begged for pizza for dinner and called to give me a play-by-play (note: it has only been 2 hours since his appointment). He just texted and asked my dad knows about his eye injury....no? It isn't some terrible diagnosis. I swear, my 12 y/o cousin who HAD HIS EYE SHOT OUT WITH A BB GUN last year didn't carry on this much.

I think I'm on the husband here. I scratched my cornea a few years ago and that mf-er hurt for days.

I'm not doubting it hurts--its more the attention thing. He has also asked me if I told my BFF about it too. Also, he felt fine enough to go to bowling last night, but couldn't bring himself to sweep floors.

When he carries on, look at him as if you are surprised and tell him that the same thing happened to my daughter when she was three, and she didn't think it was a big deal. True story!

Time to start using MrsAxilla's technique of quoting & typing "LOL" instead of just liking?
LOL
<--------------I'm a post off, this would have been funny if I had one less post today.
I got my flu shot today. Which usually means I will have the flu in Jan/Feb.
Oh, and we passed getting pre-approval for building the house <) One more hurdle cleared. Now we just have to prove we didn't lie on the application by providing real documentation.

OK, if he's going for sympathy, going bowling was a bad move.

Don't be embarrassed, I'm glad you're feeling better.

People suck, two of the people that died in the SC floods, died because someone moved a barrier and they drove into a chasm in the road. Ugh. They came from out of state to help. So sad and preventable.

On Fridays all the week's homework is due in my math class, so Thursdays are spent catching up. I think I spent around 5 hours today plowing through algebra that I really don't understand. :/
I made it through 081 with flying colors (it's total bonehead math) and the next class is 084. I thought I would be clever and take 097, which is 084 and 085 combined. I'm thinking it was a terrible mistake because it's only the end of the second week and I'm seriously struggling. I'm extra worried because next week we start linear equations and graphing. If I can't master the first two weeks, there's no way I'll make it through the quarter.
Tomorrow is the last day to add/drop classes, so I will talk to my professor and see what he thinks.

Math BLOWS.
You can do it! Talk to your professor and go from there. Get a tutor if you have to! Good luck.

You can do this! Also you happen to hang out with a pile of math nerds here, so if you need a concept explained in excruciating detail by 6 different people we might be able to help. But seriously, PM me whenever you want to. I'm not a math teacher, but I have always been pretty good at explaining math stuff to non-mathy people.

The positive and negative of nursing school.
You're in good hands and they're all caring and shit.
And then they'll force you into a wheelchair and push you down the street to urgent care. (Ask me how I know!)

One of the reasons I decided to make this jump was because my sweetie is a math whiz and he has been helping me. Well, he's now in school and doesn't have a lot of free time anymore. He actually said to me yesterday, "Maybe you should look into a tutor." Then I burst into tears and shrieked, "You're supposed to be my tutor!"
