I laughed until I saw it was Pete King. I'm not surprised he said that. He has been outspoken about how nuts his party is for a while. He has called them delusional and said that Ted Cruz was a carnival barker who led the party off a cliff.

-There's a letter yesterday from Rep. Jones to speaker candidates to drop out if they have skeletons in their closet, and the rumor is it refers to McCarthy's alleged affair.
-Another Rep. hears that Paul Ryan MAY accept after all.

I read somewhere that the rumor is that he was having an affair with one of the GOP women in the house. PLEASE LET IT BE SO.

It's ridiculous that Boehner would stay. Hope Paul Ryan runs.
I was hypothesizing about who the House woman was---Ellmers didn't come up in my head, though I have at least heard of her. She was in a swing district, I think. I couldn't pick her out of a lineup.
My first thought was speed demon Kristi Noem. She's very pretty.
(I'm just decompressing by blabbing right now. We had a very confrontational parent-teacher conference---I wasn't involved directly--so I am still somewhat shaking. So conflict-averse.)
I'm hearing from my friend on the Hill that he was forced out with the back pocket info on his affair with Ellmers. Seriously guys, keep your dick in your pants. It never ends well. There's back pocket info on Chaffetz as well.
Webster's district is currently in upheaval thanks to court ruling Florida's gerrymandering unconstitutional. If current lines hold, it becomes a "safe" Democratic seat. So, uh, he's out, at least long term. If the idea is to get a short term speaker, he could hold the gavel until 2016 and the moderate Rs could then challenge him in a primary.

This is why I want to like Pete King but he is pretty crazycakes in his own special way.

.
What is it?!
He doesn't definitively know. Rumors are psych-related or drug-related, but wouldn't take that to the bank or anything.
