For ever having opened my mouth during any sahm/working mom conversations.
I'm so fucking tired, you guys. I got cussed out by a sophomore yesterday. I hate doing errands at night. I miss my kids. I miss my COUCH. My house is a mess. You get used to it, right?

I completely get it, but the best part of not being a sahm (I did it for a short time but I did it, damn it) is not working with kids. So, even though they are over 10, they are not like the coworkers in which we are surrounded by. Most of us. Really, I do not know how you people do it but I thank God for you. Helpful
I'm glad it's fun. Life feels tiring lately for me.
I am. I'm a long-term sub for high school special ed. It's awesome.
My first year of teaching kicked my ass. I was 22 and while my friends were closing the bars I was willing myself to stay awake until 7:00 pm. Personal record for going to bed was 6:22 pm.
Do what you need to do to stay alive (you and the kids) and fuck the rest.

You're awesome. Being a long-term sub is HARD.
Its interesting because I'm supposed to be team teaching with a regular English teacher and an IA, but everyone suspects that the teacher is in the early stages of dementia or something. She doesn't make sense half the time and is very forthcoming about not wanting to deal with our kids (they're really tough). The IA and I are carrying the whole thing. We have even met with the dept head to map out the next few weeks as if the actual teacher wasn't there. We have heard the union is going to try to get her disability. All that is to say that, it's a lot more intensive than I thought it would be.

Amazon prime, grocery delivery, Stitch fIx to shop for me, caffeine, lunchtime errands, and a house cleaner once we can afford it. I try to do as much cleaning and picking up as I can in 30 minutes each evening. I still could use a second brain to juggle it all, but I'm managing.
