I can't get him back to sleep. My toddler had quite the rough time going to sleep tonight and now I'm up with my little guy. Everyone is keeping us up and my poor husband has to be up for work at 4.
I'm on wake up 3, and it's only 2:00. I think I'm tearing myself to a massage tomorrow because my back is killing me from the way I sit when I nurse in the MOTN.
Wake up 1. Same exact time as last night, but he went to bed earlier than usual last night. I really hope that I can move his bedtime up closer to 7:30. Unfortunately he seems wide awake right now.
Wakeup #1. This has become a regular occurrence lately....down at 8pm, up at 11pm, up at 2am, up about 5:30am and sometimes we'll get back to sleep until 7. Have to rock or nurse her back down every.single.time. None of that rub her back shit. Ugghhh. At least she has a schedule?
Wake up 2. DS2 is a week old today Abby all he did today was eat or scream at me, it feels like. DH is working super long hours and I'm struggling today. Ugh. I know it will get better, but it's been a rough one.
Also, when I picked up DS1 from daycare, I brought the baby in the house first bc he was screaming. When I got back to the car, DS1 was sobbing bc he thought I'd forgotten him in the car. Blah.

Haven't been able to fall asleep since DS woke up to eat 2 hours ago (he went right back down). If his pattern holds he will be up again in 30 to 45 minutes.
I want to cry. He slept like crap the past couple of nights so I am insanely, unable to deal with anything without tears tired, and yet I am missing out on sleep I desperately need due to insomnia (partly related to stress about the house we just closed on - pro tip: buying a house and moving with a newborn is a terrible idea). I am already dreading the coming day.
Wake-up 4, 2am here. To be fair wake-up's 1-3 all occurred in the first 2 hours. She finally stayed down after 11:30.
Usually I'd be taking her into our bed now but going to try and put her back in the crib and see how long she goes. Got her to nurse on both sides which is unusual for MOTN so fingers crossed!
Another 6+ hour stretch! I'm loving it. We have to wake up to get ready in 2.5 hours to go to the airport, so hopefully she'll have a decent stretch after this. This is amazing and hopefully the start of a trend!!
We are on.. 3? 4? I have lost track. DS cluster fed all day, screamed bloody murder if I set him down at all, and my toddler had a weeping, sobbing melt down because he wasn't getting enough attention. DH came home immediately after school to rescue me.
I also understand, for the first time ever, being "touched out". It has never happened before. touch is my primary love language, but 2 needy boys and DH proved to be too much for even me today.
Wake up 2, only an hour and a half after he went back down after the first wake up. Ugh. I was in the middle of having a dream where I was deciding if I wanted McDonald's or Chick Fil A for lunch. Now I want fast food.
Omg, I am over this. I have been up more than I've been asleep. He just cries if dh tries to help. Fml.
Hugs, dottyblue. I've been so touched out lately. I dread the weekends because of it - at least during the week I have my working hours with nobody touching me. It sucks.
Wakeup #3. Should have been #4, but between 1 & 2, as soon as I came into her room she found her thumb, and was able to soothe herself back to sleep. She usually struggles to find her thumb overnight, I wish she would do this more often.
We were planning to leave for the airport in 30 mins and DH still has clothes in the dryer he's waiting on. WTF. They didn't get dry after he put them in right before going to bed. This is so last minute it's ridiculous.
And wake up #2 seemed to be more because she got one hand almost out of the swaddle and woke up freaking out. But a paci wouldn't calm her. So I did a quick swaddle fix and nursed her, but she only ate for about 5 mins and promptly passed out. I can't get her to open her mouth and latch back on (unless I tired un-swaddling maybe, but I don't wanna).
So I have a feeling another short stretch of sleep is coming since she didn't eat much.

This is happening to me right now too...I'm guessing he will be up in an hour or less.

Four(ish) wakeups and up for the day now. Lately she hasn't been crying when she wakes up for the day, just wakes up and makes little awake noises. DW has her so I can get some more sleep, but no luck getting back to sleep.
Omg, DS was a hot mess this morning. Wake ups at 2, 4, and 5. I sneezed at 5 and woke him up, and then I couldn't get him back down, so I woke my H up and handed him off so I could get a little more sleep.
