I have a double race weekend for cyclocross. Yeah! Monday is a holiday, so I will do a 2 hour road ride and spend the rest of the day catching up on errands and cleaning the house.
I'm so tired. My schedule is screwy this week so I've had to get the runs in wherever I could. They've been decent, though! Well, not the morning runs, but the evening runs. I did an 8 mile pace run Wednesday, followed by a 7 mile track workout w/800s at 8PM last night, then to make sure I had 5 days of runs this week, I had to get up at 4:30 this morning to run 6 before work. I didn't fall asleep until almost 2 AM (due to being wired from the late track workout). I see afternoon coffee in my future.
Anyway, tomorrow is a rest day. We're driving down to my mom's in the morning (1:45 hrs) to see my step brother and nieces (visiting from AL). We'll drive back that night, and then we have 20-21 miles for Sunday.

I'm volunteering for a trail race tomorrow (5/10K). It's supposed to be rainy, with possible thunderstorms. This would make 3 Saturdays in a row that it has rained. If it's not too muddy, I may run a couple miles on the trails after the race.

Thanks! No timing mats, other than the finish line, and they use gun time. I think there are only about 400 in the marathon this year.
I did a Summer track series and it was so hard to sleep on those nights. It sucks! Extra coffee, for sure.
I'm doing a nighttime trail race tomorrow night- a first! I won't be racing for time, just trying not to sprain my ankle.
Also tomorrow I'm volunteering at a local ultra- 50K/50Miler. I am road marshaling, then aid station, then road marshaling. I'm excited but nervous- it's a long day.
Holy cow emilyj -- that came fast. Have a wonderful race!!
skwcm80 - that sounds like an amazing weekend plan. How does the weather look? It sounds hot here Sunday (80+) so I hope Chicago gets better marathon weather than that.
Good luck cinco! That is a great race size/atmosphere to run fast.

Good luck all you racers!
I think the high may be 65 tomorrow, but it might be a moot point since DS may have some sort of bug.
I have to fit 8 in at some point this weekend. I was hoping I would get them in before anniversary date night with DH, but it has been pouring all day . I have been trying to convince myself to get up early tomorrow to do it before meeting my running group for breakfast, but since I see beer and/or wine in my future this evening, that most likely will not happen.
Very excited to be spectating our local marathon on Sunday. Lots of people in my group have been training really hard for a big PR.
I'm at the PT clinic right now for a massage. I hope he can miracle work break up this IT tightness so I can run 16 comfortably on Sunday. I haven't run since tuesday, so I'm hoping the rest and this will be enough. Tomorrow I'm working timing at a middle school XC meet, then we have family photos. Our fall ones...when it's going to be pushing 90 degrees. :/
I have done absolutely nothing since the marathon, so I'll probably do barre today and run at least a couple miles this weekend. My life motto for the past week has been "who the F cares, I just BQd by 8 minutes!"

Fingers crossed! IT band shit is the absolute WORST
