What's everyone up to? I'm doing my long run on Sunday (boo!), so I'm taking advantage of the night off and drinking heavily. I also ate a 10-piece nugget meal from McDonald's from dinner. Ew. But soooo good.
My aunt died yesterday, so I changed my already existing flight to Chicago Monday to go into Minneapolis. I'll go to the viewing that starts at 5pm, then drive to Chicago after. My training starts at 8am on Tuesday. Super. I wanted to spend Thursday exploring Chicago, but I think instead I'll be sleeping.
My massage today was SO PAINFUL. But my legs are starting to feel better. I can't believe how tight my calves and hamstrings were, too. Hopefully my long run doesn't lock my IT up again. We have next Friday off from school, so I think I'll get another massage.
That's it...I'm feeling sad, which means I need to ramble.
taratru, I'm sorry about your aunt. We are watching stand up, and had merlot and buttery popcorn for dinner. I need to wake up at 430 tomorrow to road marshal at a local 50 miler, then do a 5 mile trail race after sunset, with glow sticks and post-race beers. The prizes are by raffle only, so I stand a chance!
We landed a few hours ago and are headed to eat then home. I'm tired and ready to be home. I may post a race report later.
I received really bad news about my cousin the first day of my vacation and found out how bad the situation is yesterday. I have to figure out when I can make it to see her. I feel horrible for my aunt and my cousin's kids.
Today's my anniversary. DH and I splurged on an amazing dinner at a local craft brewery. Now we're just vegging on the couch watching the hockey game. Kidless. A perfect night.
I'm sitting at home icing my fat ankle, swelling has gone down a good amount, now bruising has come in. But I can walk without issue, going to bike a little tomorrow.
My H bought some keebler fudge graham cookies I'm going to eat the shit out of shortly!
Not much going on here. I picked up my new Chevy Traverse today. I signed the paperwork yesterday and saw the actual car for the first time because it came from another dealership in a trade. The guy who showed it to me asked how many kids I had. I'm still in shock that I look old enough to have multiple children lol.
Probably going to bed soon I have 8 miles in the morning. Everyone around me is getting sick so I'm laying low most of the weekend.
Why aren't we watching the VT football game, you ask? Because we are apparently bad luck. And the Hokies are up without our viewership, lol.
I'm actually watching this game (at my dad's in MA). We decided to watch it since I should learn about local state college football. VT is looking pretty good though.
My work did a parents' night out tonight where you could drop two kids off for 3 hours for $20. Yes please! So H and I went to a new brewery down the road for dinner.
Now I'm laying in bed with DD, hoping that I don't wake her up when I go to get in my own bed. I just read the washcloth thread on CEP and want to scrub my entire body.
I am watching the NL playoffs on TV and trying to figure out when I am going to pickup my number tomorrow. I'll probably go to bed when soon cause Mr. GT is getting up early to go to the Penn State game.
We are in Taipei for the long weekend, but H has a man cold and won't stop whining. The weather is lovely though-it's in the mid-70s and the kids think it's freezing. Haha. Heading out to see pandas soon.
Sprained my ankle playing soccer Tuesday night, boo! Last week I was talking to a teammate about switching to turfs because my cleats seem to catch too much and I almost never play on grass anymore, and of course this happens the next week. Caught a cleat on the turf and came down with my weight as my foot rolled in. Luckily just a sprain and nothing compared to what you have been going through!
I had dinner at my favorite vegetarian restaurant. It included a piece of chocolate cake. I haven't had dessert in two weeks other than about 4 bites of chocolate ice cream last weekend.
