DD has recovered from the stomach bug after a full 24 hours of cleaning up vomit. I'm now waiting to see who goes down next. H gets back from a 5-day trip tomorrow around lunchtime, so I hope we hold off on the next round of vomiting until then.
DS went to bed half an hour ago and just woke up crying. Argh. I was just about to go to bed myself. Hopefully he'll go back down easily and stay asleep for at least a few hours.
I tried to make pizza from scratch. I bought dough at TJs. It was a total flop
What went wrong? I can help troubleshoot! Â I love making pizza! If your dough didn't rise, TJs could be the problem. Â My best dough is bought from a bakery that makes it fresh daily.
It didn't rise & just generally tasted blah.
DH has been teasing me since I confidently proclaimed before dinner that "I used to make pizzas at work in HS, it will be fine." M wouldn't touch it. Dh & I choked it down but even a cheap frozen pizza would have been better.
I am feeling sorry for myself. Long weekend: I get sick on Friday night and go to bed at 8:30. Tonight I made it to 9:15 and am in bed, still sick, after fighting with DH most of the evening, and then finding out that I am the one person on earth who gets her period with a Mirena. That explains the bitchiness, and the cramping that at one point today made me wonder if I had a baby kicking me.

TJ's dough never rises. Â I've found over the years that I have to pre-bake it first, then add the toppings and bake it some more.
I agree with prebaking and ignoring any instructions on the bag. Cook at a high temp (we do 450F) and use a preheated baking stone if you have one. TJ dough isn't my favorite - we get some from a local grocery store that also sells pizza.
Pre-baking probably would have helped, the crust wasnt right at all.
What were you cooking it on? Do you have a pizza stone?
A metal pizza pan. I also followed the instructions on the dough, 10-12 minutes at 350. It wasn't done so then I put it back in for 5 more minutes & turned on the convection.
H is off at a football game. MIL and FIL watched the boys this afternoon so I could get my hair did and run some errands. Errands turned into a small shopping spree at Charming Charlie and Target, oops.
Weirdly, my Target receipt also printed out a $10 off any online purchase coupon so I am about to order some free stuff, yay.

I have not cooked it on a pan in a long time, but I usually cook it on the stone at 450 or 500 for about 7 minutes, before the stone I would pre-cook the dough and then put the toppings on.
DH has some friends he's had since high school over. We ate dinner outside and it was nice catching up with them. I put DD to bed and now I'm in my office and they're starting a bonfire. Not sure if I'll stay in here on the computer or head to the living room or our bedroom to watch some TV and dink around on the iPad.
We have family pictures tomorrow and I'm excited to see how they turn out!
FYI there's a $20 off $20 shutterfly code "firstgift" out. I'm doing some christmas gifts and get the IL's calendars done. I just don't have a fall pic of E from this year.

We had such a fabulous day! We went apple, peach and pumpkin picking. I also purchased a ton of fall flower, mums and cabbage, etc. Both boys were excellent. I just love fall and this weather. DH and I are in bed reading, etc. we are both exhausted and plan to go to sleep soon.
. Somehow I think I find it HARDER to do this when DH is around because I presume that with two adults around we will be more productive. Then we never get as much done as I want, and I get bitchy. It goes down hill from there.
I have a piece of pumpkin praline cake waiting for me upstairs!!

So the IL's have the boys the night. We just have the baby. So we celebrate by going to the grocery store and get frozen junk food, microbrews for DH, ice cream for me...and then I rembered we needed toothpaste for the boys and bought Avengers toothpaste.
And we checked out with the newborn sleeping in the car seat in our shopping cart. I bet we looked like excellent parents to the checker.
Now we are about to enjoy our junk food watching Friends on Netflix. Party!
DH had a successful first day with E! He did the tummy time, and changed like 5 million poop diapers, and got E to nap in his crib for 3 out of 4 naps! I'm so proud and happy!

Productive day! Ran 12 miles, ice bath/shower, 5 loads of laundry, and went to ikea for like 3 hours for stuff for the basement (while carrying DD in the ergo).
