My allergies are killing me. I'm not sure how long I'm going to last at work.
Last night I had a dream where NitaX and 1234FIF! were in an improve class with me. Somehow during the class we started talking about religion. Then a talking dog arrived and my dream shifted.
Ooo you know I take improv classes right?
I think I did, which is why my subconscious put you there. LOL!

How do you determine if burnout at work is temporary or something that means you need to start looking for a new job? I mean, aside from going on vacation and seeing if that solves the problem?
I switched out my summer clothes for my winter clothes on Saturday, and realized I was missing a fleece tunic top that I loved last year. I was all worried that I got rid of it accidentally, when I discovered that I had 2 containers of winter clothes instead of just the one.
I need to keep a better mental inventory of my possessions. That was a lot of sweaters that I completely forgot that I owned.
I pulled out my winter clothes and remembered I hated every single thing.
I was also reminded that if I had realized that i should be buying tall-sized shirts to accommodate my long torso, I wouldn't have spent so much money on too-short shirts.

My signal that I was too burned out was when getting out of the car in the work parking lot took a super human psychological effort each morning. It sucks, sorry.
Yuck - yeah, blame Jenn b/c she is a total contrast to Ben personality wise. Um, maybe he liked that at first and that is why they fell in love, duh?
I mean, you might think this ish as a friend, but you don't say this ish, Uncle Matt. I mean, I've said some pretty bad things about my BIL in frustration, but I hope it doesn't end up on Fox or US Weekly someday.

I know there's an unwritten rule that says "Bostonians have to love Ben and Matt." but I've disliked them from the beginning. I hope this story isn't true, I have my doubts that he'd be stupid enough to say anything like this, but if he did, that's the crappiest thing to say about a person you know your best friend spouse, even if they are divorcing.

I've been at this stage with 2 previous jobs. I'm definitely not there. But I don't want to be at that point when I'm looking for jobs, either.

maybe imagining what it would take to be happier at work. How much of a change of pace would it take for you to feel a renewed interest? And then is that much of a change possible? what would it take to achieve that?
this might be super duh but it's been hard for me in the past to see the forest for the trees in situations like that.
Over half of the office is out today so the place is really quiet. I think I am going to another work event tomorrow, which means I should get to leave early on Friday again.
Oh and I'm pretty sure my cat is going to murder us (or just DH) tonight. He is taking her to the vet to make sure she is given a clean bill of health after her teeth extractions.

I think you kind of hit the nail on the head with the forest/trees thing. I've been thinking this afternoon, and I've really only been miserable for a couple of weeks. During that time, I've been sick, and been forced onto a pilot project that takes up literally all my time. I hate this pilot. Like, really can't stand it. If I wasn't on the pilot, I'm pretty sure I'd be fine.

My vet's office just posted this. I thought of tacosforlife
Darkness totally did that to me. H gets up at 5am and puts out their kibble. Every now and again H will forget and the cats will come fetch me from the bed when he hops in the shower. Today, Darkness woke me up and I thought maybe he didn't get his breakfast. But no, his kibble was right there. He was just being a jerk.
I wasn't going to foster kittens this year since I work with them every day now, but then....
He is just like Yoshi! It's even the same eye (but a lot grosser, this pic is the best it has ever looked)!!!! His name is Galileo. We definitely won't be keeping him though since our 4 cats are at our landlord's limit of tolerance. I also get Bohemian Rhapsody stuck in my head too often now since we sing his name to him.
But omg he is Yoshi's twin (this is Yoshi as a kitten, & them together) pixy0stix
He really is a Yoshi clone! I wish my older cats would tolerate a kitten.

I got rear ended today while at a stop light. I'm ok, car's got a small scratch but is otherwise ok, but I'm annoyed. How hard is it to look where you are going when you are coming to a stop light?! Moron lady.
