The turkey really pushed my oven to the gross level. So I am auto cleaning it right now and the whole house reeks of smoke and my eyes itch and my smoke detector keeps going on every few minutes. But at least it is warm tonight so alm the windows are open.
I just called my mom to chat 10 minutes ago because we have been playing phone tag. Both my parents were asleep. At 9:25. Oops. I felt bad but it was also a "shit they are getting old" moment.
I bought my baby a FULL SIZE BED. He is still in my bed and we are ready to transfer him out and the crib seems haunted or something, given how much he screams when we put him in it. He is 18 months today.
I ordered a sectional august 31. It is now scheduled to arrive at the store October 30. It's the 4th delivery date, so I am just hoping to get it by Christmas at this point.
Alex is sick AGAIN. I think it's the ears again, and sinus.
So, peachy's suggestion that H lost his phone and used mine to find it was right. Thank god. I thought stress was sending me over the edge. lol
Link? I have no idea what you are talking about.
In the randoms this morning, I mentioned that when I woke up, my phone was off the charging cord and the brightness was turned all the way up. I also had 5 outgoing calls to H's phone, as well as 1 facetime call to him. I thought I was sleep dialing.
I've never used the auto clean feature on an oven, I'm pretty sure with my luck something would actually catch fire.
This will be my first Thanksgiving ever cooking everything myself, how I want it. My ex always had to have things his way so I never got to cook what/how I wanted.
Now we just have to make sure our families are on the same page and let us have one day to ourselves.

I've also never used mine. I should probably run it to clean the puddle where last Thanksgiving's pumpkin pies sloshed before I have to make this year's pumpkin pies.
I think my cats are trying to kill or at least smother me. I have two between my legs and the other one is by my feet. I feel like their love hostage. I guess I'll be sleeping on my back since I can't move now.

I have leftover stuffing in my fridge, and it is taking all my willpower to not go to the fridge with a fork and eat it all. I have leftover turkey too, but stuffing holds a special place in my heart.

I am sad because this will be the first year ever that I don't cook Thanksgiving dinner (or at least something to bring to another person's house) because we don't have a working oven at MIL's house (for those not in the know, we're going to be doing a full renovation in the late winter/early spring). I think we're going to have to find a place in London that serves T-day dinner (which, amazingly enough, there are places).

My friend got Married in England on Thanksgiving. She is British and he's American and they chose the day because his family had time off. They served a full Thanksgiving dinner. The venue thought they were crazy, but they were in the north, not near London.

We had Thanksgiving at Sticky Fingers one year and it was actually pretty amazing. (Except for the pumpkin pie, lol) I'm not sure if they still do it, but it would be worth checking out!
