Best t-shirts?

Hi - I'm struggling to find the best tshirts - short and long sleeves to wear alone or under sweaters. I prefer a slimmer stretchy fit and I have a long torso so it needs to be long enough.  

Any suggestions? Old Navy ones are too boxy for me.

Have you tried a tall sizing? While I am far from tall but I have a long torso and I like tall for the extra length especially in things I wear under sweaters.

I love and swear by the long sleeved perfect T from the limited. Great alone or under sweaters and cardigans.

I have been very pleased with my ones from Banana Republic. Especially my white v-neck as they are the only ones I have found that are thick enough so that they aren't see through.

I have the best luck just digging through TJMAXX. My favorite T-shirts are in a stack of no name brands from there. I have some that are years old and look as good as the ones i bought last month.

I didn't like the fabric at first, but the more you wash it, the softer it gets. And it's thicker than most tissue/vintage tees.

I also like the vintage cotton scoop neck tees from J Crew. The scoop is a tiny bit low, but I still like the shirt overall, especially the fit and colors.
