Realistic : cabin in the woods for a few days. Love hiking in the fall. DH is trying to get me to plan something but I'm not ready to take G on vacation yet.

Kauai...we honeymooned there and it was AMAZING! Plus, relaxing on a beach, hiking, and lots of drinks sounds great right about now! And, if I could leave DH and C behind, even better...I would kill for some major sleep right about now (I literally sleep in 2 hr increments these days and I can't wait for a decent stretch of sleep!).
Realistic: I would go to a nearby hotel and just sleep. Maybe somewhere I could also go for a nice walk/hike, but sleep would be the priority! Oh, and somewhere it's not 90-100 degrees too!
bk1- DO IT!!! Seriously, it won't be as bad as you think! My only other advice...get a place that has at least a 1 bedroom + living area (not a typical hotel where G would be sleeping in the same room as you guys). We did this with C on our trip last month and he did amazing (and he's not a good sleeper)! Vacation wore him out and he slept much better there than home! Will G nap in a carrier if you wear her while hiking?

Back to Hawaii - Kauai and Maui, but also add in the Big Island so I can see the volcanoes again (and DH hasn't been to that island). Or a cruise, but I couldn't actually go right now.

Oh so many places I would go....I'll narrow it down to Japan or if I feel like being nice to my hubs, Portugal. Realisticly, I'd leave S w/the grandparents and go down the street to La Qunita, lol
luv2rn4fun Currently teething is killing her naps. She sleeps well at night but has never slept anywhere except our house. She has only slept in the carrier once. Today she napped 8:45-10:00 and then held out until bedtime. I tried several times to get her to bed and even the car didn't work.

bk1- Yikes! Have you tried Motrin (I'm sure you have)? Poor G...I hope she feels better soon! Even so, I think she might surprise you...C doesn't sleep elsewhere often and he tends to do great (at least for bedtime...naps are always hit or miss, at home or away). You never know til you try...I totally get your hesitation though...I was the same way and I worried for nothing. ((hugs)) Hope G's teeth come in soon and she's able to nap a little better for you!
