They're doing 10 minute chair massages at work today and I "won" one. So I go up to the guy and he's like "Before we start, do you have anything wrong with your spine that I should know about? Herniated disc or anything like that?"
"Nope!"
So I get in the chair and he just starts with applying pressure to my lower back. After about 10 seconds he stops and is like "Are you SURE there's nothing wrong with your back? Cause the left side here is really bad." And then he gets up to my shoulder blade where all my knots are and says "Holy shit."

We had our Health Fair yesterday at work. After I had been on my fucking feet for TEN HOURS the employee we accommodated as a last minute addition complained we had this during work hours. I raised my voice at him.................... DO YOU SEE WHY I DONT LIKE PEOPLE?
"Not gonna lie; I kind of keep expecting you to post one day that you threw down on someone who clearly had no idea that today was NOT THEIR DAY." ~dontcallmeshirley
It was one of those things like I knew I was in bad shape, but not THAT bad. Not bad enough to make the masseuse curse bad.
I probably should go in for a real one. I just don't know if I go to a massage therapist or my favorite spa....
Do you know if it is structural or soft tissue? I'm far from an expert but have been dealing with back issues since a car accident in the spring. If you don't know, I think finding out first would be helpful to determine the best person to see (PT, massage, etc..) A lot of the issues I'm dealing with are being treated by working on my front (chest, neck, psoas, etc..)

It's both.
I'm doing PT for my right shoulder (impingement) and that's definitely helping. But the rest is soft tissue - general wear and tear (I sit at a computer all day) but also compensation and tension because of the impingement.
I order my lunch online a lot. I just logged in to notice I was overcharged last time when the person who delivered got back to the shop. I mean, it's 2 dollars, but I'm kinda incensed about someone altering the tip line.
I have an iphone and H has a Galaxy and sometimes when I text him the code changes and he sees something completely different. Many of the emojis change and today I wrote piñata and he saw piqata and got really confused.
Today is DH's and my 4th anniversary. I won't see him though, which is disappointing because I actually love this guy, but okay because we'll celebrate on Saturday. So today instead of looking for a job or cleaning, I'm sitting here munching on the candy he left me, and enjoying the flowers he sent.
2curlydogs That doesn't sound like a "win" to me! He doesn't sound very professional. I hope you find a good massage that actually makes you feel better!

I would say something:
Oh, I did. The manager had a very confused moment, then acted like it was her fault for entering it wrong. Then said she's usually very careful. Then that she was going to look into it.

We walked so damn much in DC today. I am exhausted and can't wait to get home and relax. At least I don't have a 20 hour flight tonight like my friend does!
I didn't get to try any of the recommended restaurants. We went over to Founding Farmers but the wait was too long. Ended up at Old Ebbit Grill, which i only knew about because of the gtg.

I actually laughed. I thought it was funny. He was immediately like "I'm so sorry. I'm going to try and work these knots out for you. It may hurt." Bless him. Not much you can do on a 10 minute chair massage.

A pizza place did that to us once when we'd purposely left a smaller tip because our server was horrible. Like talk-to-the-manager horrible. She'd added like $5 onto her tip.
This is one of my closest friends. I love her and I think this wedding was so perfect for her and I'm in love with her dress. offbeatbride.com/2015/10/summit-elopement

Gorgeous!
But... are they walking around on the tundra where they're not supposed to be?
