- lots of housework today. -we leave for vacation Wednesday night! - stopping at a few wineries on the way and going to one of our favorite wineries Saturday. -Disney on Sunday!!!
Good Morning!!! Kids got up my routine with them went smoothly. Chatted with my neighbor for a few after the kids got on the bus. Got to work early. I'm feeling OK other than this shitty sinus stuff I have going on. I can't wait to get off work and hang out with my bff! I'm still kinda shocked that she is here.
We leave Thursday for California! It's my SIL's wedding so it will involve lots of family visiting. Probably not the most relaxing weekend, but I'm looking forward to turning my work phone off and ignoring it Weather should be nice, hotel has heated pool, and we have plans to walk down to the beach one night.
Not much. Hopefully our buyers are scheduling the inspection soon. We didn't go to the pumpkin patch this past weekend, so I'm hoping to make it out there this weekend.
Low key week in our house too. Which I am happy about.
Today: Lots and lots of housework and walking errands. I also got the job where I interviewed. So YAY! I filled out paperwork this morning. Starting on November 2nd. Tuesday: Meeting for H's final college paperwork. Hopefully the school has figured out their stuff so he can get his diploma. Wednesday: FIL is coming over for dinner and an overnight Thurs-Sunday: Relax and work!
-Retrieve my child tomorrow. I hope he still remembers me. I'm kind of nervous he won't want to leave the grandparents since they're doing so much fun stuff. lol. -Anatomy Scan Wednesday. A bit nervous, a lot excited. -This weekend we will be spending time with H's parents because we haven't really seen them in a month and a half.
bk1 I hope you get in for pics too, I want to see them
@skyesthelimit1212 Internal interview, or are you actively seeking a new position? Good luck on it!
awick14 It's always so awesome when an election is over. By that point you almost don't care who wins because every candidate and campaign has gotten so overwhelming and annoying. At least here, not sure if it's the same by you.
travelbug Hooray on the job!! Sorry it took so long, but I'm thrilled it came through!

ewall- So Cal? Weather should be nice this weekend! It's been really hot but has finally cooled down and is supposed to be perfect for the weekend! Enjoy time off work, vacation, and time with family!
bk1- Sounds like a fun and busy week! Hope you get your pictures taken!

We're going to FL tomorrow for a week! Going to see lots of family, go to Disney for a day, and enjoy the warm weather.
Also planning to go to a couple model homes and try to figure out if we want to live there for real. This is becoming complicated (for a good reason) because 2 of our best friends are now pregnant and I'm not sure if we're ok moving away from them. The friend aspect is the hardest part of this decision by far.
luv2rn4fun Yes! We were originally planning to stay in Orange County the entire time, but since the wedding + other events are in downtown LA, we are staying in downtown LA. Less driving required which equals less time with M confined to his car seat which hopefully will lead to a happier baby overall.
ginkgoleaf That is a tough call. We left behind several good friends when we moved away from California. But I'm inclined to lean more toward living near family for the free help/childcare aspect of it. Having a family member back up nearby is so nice.
I feel like a broken record - I usually have nothing exciting to report. I'm looking forward to Halloween though! I hope we don't end up eating all the candy and having to buy more for the trick or treaters.

ewall- Good choice on staying in LA! Traffic getting there is insane (as I'm sure you remember) and doing that with a baby is no fun for anyone! Hope you have a wonderful time!
ginkgoleaf- ditto ewall re: family=help! Especially have an older child and twins on the way, I would greatly be leaning towards moving in your shoes. Having friends around (especially those with kids close in age) is great and all...but you can find friends with kids close in age anywhere. Having help is a huge selling point for me! Although, we have family close by and really not so much help...so make sure they are up for giving you and your DH a break every once and awhile before you move all the way there and find out you really don't have help. Good luck in making your decision!
Today I had a college student in my classroom doing some field observations. I worked through my prep and lunch talking to her so now I am behind on other things.
Tuesday I am going to a best practices professional development seminar.
Saturday my MIL is coming to visit and staying at my house. Not looking forward to it. Saturday night my BFFs and I are going to a midnight showing of Rocky Horror with a shadow cast. We are each dressing up as one of the characters. I am so excited. It's been a year since we saw a live showing.

It's all extended family there so I'm not sure how much they would help. My parents would be most helpful but they're in the DC area and we don't want to move there, mostly due to cost of living.
Our friends here are like family, the closest ones are either friends DH has had since middle school or college friends we've known for 13-14 years. But we also don't see them a ton since everyone's so busy. Though if we were here still when they have their babies, that's 2 more babies who will be within 4-5 months of our twins. Such a hard decision!

I tell ya other than not really having a voice I'm in a great mood. I'm working 9-5 to day. It's such a strange concept rite now I have been working 9 10 11 hour days lately, today had flown by. 2 more hours!!! Hanging out with BFF tonight. Kids have dr appointments Friday. L gets her stiches out and they both get their flu vac. Also Friday is my B-day!!!! This week will consist of cleaning house carving pumpkins and making Jell-O shots. A few last minute Halloween crafts.

I have to buy a birthday gift and baptism gift at some point this week for Sunday. Find and put together a Halloween costume for work on Thursday. 15 min chair massage at work on Thursday!
