Money. I don't make much but am on unpaid maternity leave. DH makes 4x what I do but somehow money is never enough. I'm worried about paying all these expenses for childcare to make 1000-1200 a month but it is worth it for my sanity.
DD has been in the boot for 10 days but still won't walk on it. She is able to go to daycare but she can't go back to preschool until she is walking. I made an appointment to get a cast put on tomorrow. We are hyping it up as a "walking cast" and I just showed her a bunch of youtube videos of kids walking in casts. Hopefully she tries it. If not, she's going to miss 3 weeks of preschool
Moving, parenting during this transition, DH being home all week, refinishing our floors, moving............. I have no energy and we are trying to accomplish tons of stuff with DH off, we take DS and DD1 to school and then wait until 12 to take DD2, we cannot get much done with kids around. MIL is being a weirdo and refuses to watch them for more than 2 hours (which is in the evening). We are grateful but we just need sometime to get a bunch of stuff out of the way. My mom watches them for us but she has had a crisis with a person she does home care for. MIL helps SIL ALL of the time, I wanted to send food that needed to be tossed in the oven for them tonight and she got all mad because she had to feed them. I apologize for not having a place to cook and not wanting to cram them full of Mcdonald's or pizza for the millionth time in 3 weeks.
Oh, and my husband might get a great opportunity at work, but it means that I will go from being alone 9+ hours a day to 12+ hours a day. His commute will go from 10 miles each way (30 minutes on surface streets) to 40 miles each way (45 minutes on the freeway). I really need to make some mom friends to occupy all this time.
