NandaB! I don't "go" here, but I saw your post and couldn't help but read it. Thank you for sharing this. It brought tears to my eyes. I love reading about other children who have Ds and their stories. My first son had it, but his combination of heart and lung defects were too severe. There are times I don't share that he had Ds because of comments I've seen in the past (e.g., sentiments like "it was for the best" or really heartbreaking remarks about children with Ds and other disabilities being "damaged goods anyway." Like it's less painful because he couldn't survive in his condition.) But reading about Wesley warms my heart. Thank you! <3
