I booked Santa pictures a few months ago. I have wanted to do these since before I was pregnant, one of those photo shoots with "Santa" where your kid gets time to actually warm up to him, read a book together, share cookies, etc. I bought an outfit for her and everything. They might be rained out on Saturday and we can't make her rescheduled time because we are going to a fundraiser that I paid $75 for DD and I to attend for the local ballet theater on the date the photographer suggested as a rain date in her email tonight.
DD doesn't need us any more. She turned her nose up at the offered dinner, and proceeded to pull her stool up to the counter and make herself peanut butter and jelly instead.
Nods made us popcorn tonight with the air popper all by herself. She got the popcorn from the pantry, the popcorn maker from the cabinet and put them all in the counter. She plugged it in and everything. It was awesome!
In other news Chase grabbed a heavy glass two cup measuring cup off the counter and dropped it in my baby toe, which is now swollen and has a huge bruise.

Are you losing money on the session?
I'm sure she'll give me a refund or let me apply it to a mini session in the future since she emailed the rain date tonight, it wasn't a stated rain date.
Want to drive up to the Woodlands and take my spot on Sunday? Or one of the other Houston MMMers up that way? noodleskoozeMNH2013 It's with Kara Powell.
I need to find a line of work that pays a lot and requires very little work or stress. Any ideas?
I am so tired of taking work home at night. And now my boss is unexpectedly out the rest of the year and I am not only doing my work plus hers, plus training her new employee.
If I end up having to work over my vacation next month, I will be very upset.
Baby related, my very favorite thing to do now is stand with the baby in front of the mirror. He laughs and laughs as he reaches for himself, and his smile is just the very best. It entertains him forever.
DH is out of town at a meeting and will be home late tonight. So far since DS fell asleep I've sat on the couch GBCNing and polished off half a bag of white cheddar popcorn, a fruit leather thingy, and an apple. My choices are starting to get healthier, but still, I think I should just go to bed.
I'm feeling down tonight. I go back to work tomorrow which is giving me feelings, and my cholesterol came back super elevated Logically I know it's due to genetics, postpartum crap, and the fact that I really need to lose 30 lbs, but it still sucks. Add to that that DS was having a very threenagee evening and I'm just tired.
How long does the "no, I do it!" stage last? For the rest of their lives, right? I'm so over it. Today DD told me that "Michael went upstairs." It totally creeped me out. We don't know any Michael's and there are no Michael's in anything we've watched. Kids are weird.
I'm feeling overwhelmed lately. I skipped my even class today, which probably won't help since it's my hardest class, but I feel a little better because all the dishes are done and most of the laundry and I picked up the house some. Plus, I drive 30 minutes each way for this class and it sucks. 6 more weeks.
Today is our 9 year wedding anniversary. To celebrate, DH went out to a work event at a bar and I'm putting DD to bed and then get to finish cleaning up her very first poop in the tub. Sadly, due to time and money constraints the poop in the tub is the only anniversary gift being exchanged this year #worstanniversarygiftever
Anniversary twins! 9 years for us too. We didn't do anything either. Sorry about your shitty night.
kaycee - how old is your kid? DS turned two in July and he is constantly saying that. But he can't do most of the things he wants to do by himself, such as put a shirt on, put shoes on, buckle his car seat, and on and on...
After two nights of late meetings, DH was home for dinner and bedtime tonight. It was so nice!

Thanks for thinking of us but we will be out of town Hope you get to redo yours!
mcfelix she turned two in June, so about the same age. She's stubborn and will figure out a way to do it all herself. She has a fit if I do something she wanted to do. I'm working on "teamwork" and trying to show her it is just as fun to help and do things together. I think she's gone into overdrive because she wants to be a big girl now that the baby is here.

Thanks for the offer redheadk. Not sure if we are doing photos this year, but most likely not.
That stinks that you'll miss it--I follow our usual photographer on Facebook, and she's had to reschedule everyone's holiday minis several times because of the bad weekend weather lately.
