I make myself wait until after the kids are in bed, so just like 3 more hours
(Insert Britney confused face .gif here)
Why?! I'm usually proud if I make it to 5pm.
I've had many days where the fact that I had to pick the kids up from school was the main deterrent to me having a drink mid-day. Usually the urge passes & I don't think of it until after DH gets home at 6 (if at all) but other days, I tell myself I only have to make it until 3. Lol
I'll be opening some wine and sinking into a hot bath as soon as the kids are in bed and the kitchen is clean.
K is rocking a 101.4 fever and has been clingy all day. I had her down to just nursing at wake up, nap, and bedtime the last few days. I let her nurse as much as she wanted today since she's sick. Probably screwed myself and she'll be up all night nursing.
We are on the way home from a PTA roller skating party. Dh made plans to meet some of his buddies at the bar while we were there. On the one hand, I'm annoyed b/c this is his first night home this week and he is going out. On the other hand, I'm now really looking forward to having a pumpkin shandy and watching Jane the Virgin.
It's been a bad week here, I've been sick and DH has had a few new job hiccups. We are almost done with one bottle of wine, hopefully we don't finish a second.
It's something we made, but ran out of labels, so we don't actually know what we are drinking, just that it's red.
No drinking for me though. We drank our way around the world in Epcot the other night and despite only having sips of a bunch of drinks and not even ever feeling buzzed, the mixture of liquors and wine and beer did not sit well with me apparently and I ended up vomiting up the world at about 2am. I am very afraid of alcohol right now lol.
I wish! Hunting opener weekend is usually my chance to open a bottle of wine and watch a trashy movie my H would hate.
H called a few minutes ago to say goodnight to C and let me know he made it to the cabin ok. He has shitty cell reception and was calling from the loft area of the cabin, on someone else's phone, on speaker. It was 6:30pm and he and his buddies were definitely already in a happy place.

Me! DH and I usually have "happy hour" while the boys are buzzing around on a Friday night, then after they go to bed we do a date night in. Tonight we're doing steaks, salad + a recipe that promises the ultimate baked potato. And, red wine of course.
I'm drinking a pumpkin shandy by The Traveler Beer Co. I liked Leinenkugel's better.
I liked the Traveler one but didn't try Leinenkugel's. I'm curious about the Traveler holiday shandy but not brought yet to buy it.
I may be having a Sweet Baby Jesus porter in a bit. Porters aren't usually my thing but this one is chocoate and peanut butter flavored When it's time to buy more J asks me to "find Jesus", haha.

The Traveler one was good -- but the Leinenkugel tastes more like pumpkin.
Wait what? I thought you couldn't drink on any antibiotic? I'm in amoxicillin if that matters.
You can drink on all the antibiotics. Except metronidazole. I only tell my patients that antibiotics and illness in general can make you nauseous and alcohol will make that worse. But totes fine
Yes. An ipa I picked up at Sierra Nevada last weekend. That place is the Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory of breweries. DH is camping so he dare not whine that it's gone when he gets home.
Yes. At a CE meeting out of town. Giant hotel, terrible drinks. I figured out the Chardonnay is drinkable so I am taking a little pee break in my room and will head down to the bar for more Chardonnay and bar food and talking of shop. This meeting is exhausting. It's like a grown up version of high school all over again. I'm that kid who isn't important enough to command her own entourage. Yet. And not cool enough to be included in any existing entourages either. Sigh.

Yes. Wine. I am solo parenting this weekend and starting my 21-day sugar detox tomorrow so I needed a glass before I have to give it all up for 3 weeks.

I LOVE that brewery. I went to college there and it was always the "fancy" place we had our parents take us to when they came to visit. The food is also soooo yummy.

This is actually the brand new one in NC. It's such a happy place. If you're ever over this way you have to check it out.
