I ordered the 2 week trial of the Clear - Regular Strength. I liked everything, but after a week, my skin was really, really dry. I was using the exfoliant as recommended (I think ) at 1-2 times a day. It felt excessive. I backed off to every other day, but my skin was so itchy and dry that I stopped. I do have dry skin normally, but it was a bit uncomfortable.
Any one else run into this?
I just noticed that happening to me today. My face kinda stings. I think I need to back off on the BHA
I had regular breakouts that lasted when I started using PC products but I deliberately avoided anything specifically acne because I've never been super happy with any acne products. I think the Resist line has products for combo/oily and dry/very dry and I believe the combo/oily (which is what I used) mentions being good for preventing breakouts or something.
Does anyone have rosacea? I wanted to try this but I don't know what is good with sensitive/oily skin and rosacea. Also I'd like to use something similar to Microdermabrasion. My skin is so dull.
Any ideas?
I've been using:
Hydralight cleanser (at night) Hydralight toner (morning and night) 2% BHA (at night, after cleansing and toning) 9% BHA (at night, after the 2% has absorbed in)
It took awhile, but there's a drastic difference in my skin now.
So, the great thing about PC is that if you're having a reaction, or you're not sure if it can mix with other products you use, they have EXCELLENT customer service, from people who are very knowledgeable of their products. And if something doesn't work, you can return it.

I spent a ton of time on Beautypedia--they review all the products (unbiased--they have hundreds of brands they review) and note what is good for particular skin types. I know I have seen rosacea mentioned a lot in reviews, so I am sure you can do a search for that.
Just FYI, Paula owns Beautypedia. I LOVE her stuff and totally trust the reviews, but there is a connection to Paula's Choice.

I wanted to come back and respond to this. I get some rosacea in the winter with the drastic temp swings we can get here. I called a few days ago and talked to a rep and we changed up my current routine. I got the items last night and my skin is already so much better.
Here is what they recommended:
Hydralight face cleanser Clinical Instant Calm advanced redness relief (this stuff is a toner and it is amazing) BHA 2% liquid ( I was already using this) Skin Balancing Super Antioxidant serum Hydralight shine free daily mineral complex spf 30.
This is my new daily routine. At night I use the skin balancing invisible moisture gel after the antioxidant. The redness around my nose and cheeks is so much better. I love her stuff!

Yup - rosacea. I use RESIST INTENSIVE WRINKLE-REPAIR RETINOL SERUM & SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA LIQUID EXFOLIANT - I use the retinol every night and the BHA every other night. I do get red at night but it goes away by morning (which is why I don't use it in the morning). I feel like my face is slowly getting nicer and nicer.
Can you guys estimate how long full size cleanser, moisturizers, etc. last? I am now ordering a whack of products since I loved all the samples and am trying to figure out how often I'll need to replenish.
Also, does anyone here use the weekly AHA treatment? Trying to decide if it's worth the $35 or if I should just make do with the daily AHA (which seriously makes my skin soooooo soft. I've always had sort of rough-ish skin and it's been like a baby's booty these days).
My full size cleanser (daily use) lasted ~5-6m I think? I went through toner and exfoliant quicker. I think I bought two full size of each (maybe 3?) during that time but I also am prone to knocking things over and spilling some before I put the lid back on. I'm not sure on my moisturizer because the first time I bought an AM and PM plus still had an Ole Henriksen moisturizer I liked and used up. I still have some of the AM but I wasn't a huge fan of it and didn't use it much in the summer because I was using a cc cream that had a higher spf.
The hydralight cleanser I bought recently is a giant bottle. Bigger than the resist one I bought. It may last forever.
I want to try but I feel so overwhelmed by this thread and the site.
I was overwhelmed at first but I found some link on their site about creating your own skin care routine and it suggested a couple different levels (kind of - like a basic cleanser toner moisturizer up to ones with 5-6 steps and why you needed what). It was a chart and it helped me decide - okay I want a cleanser and a toner and a moisturizer for sure. Then I looked at the concerns and resist for oily/combo seemed to fit my needs so I decided to just use those products. They had a deal running at that time where a PM moisturizer was bundled with another product so I decided to get those and ended up with a four step routine and an AM moisturizer and PM moisturizer. I guess it sounds complicated but it was pretty easy.
Then when I went to reorder two products I liked I decided to try a retinol product and a serum. And the last time I ordered I decided to try a different product line.
It took me awhile to tackle ordering something and I love skincare products so I understand. The skincare routine chart thing they had really helped me, though.

Yes, and I'm not sure what happened. I stopped everything for a good 2 months. Then I slowly started adding it back in. Now, no issues and I'm using the same products. I'm thinking it might have been my foundation or the dry weather. I use the exfoliant at night only. If it's really dry weather I move it to every other night. That has taken care of the problem, for me. You can call them and exchange for a less strong one too.

My full size cleanser lasts probably 6 months (I use it once/day). Toner and moisturizer, probably 2-3 months with daily use.
I have the weekly AHA treatment. My skin is noticeably softer the morning after I use it, but I forget to use it weekly.
If you're doing a daily AHA treatment, I would skip it.

Maybe it would be easiest for you to just chat online with a rep and explain your skin/concerns. They can recommend some products for you to start with.

Bookmarking for later! I have rosacea and am pretty happy with what I've been using but I'm always on the lookout for other things. Also have KP on my thighs and arms, and I'd like to find something to improve my skin in those areas.
