My dad bought us a solar powered prisim. It makes rainbows dance around our kitchen for the brief period the sun hits the solar panel at the right place. So we get to have a rainbox dance party every morning. I love it
Eta: to be clear the solar panel spins the prisim so it is like a rainbow disco ball
P woke up at 3:30 again. She's got a stuffy nose and is just having trouble sleeping. Poor bug. I nursed her for a while and tried to put her down, but she wasn't having it. I sat and rocked her for 30 minutes, both of us dozing off, then I put her down and she slept for another hour.
Night 1 of dropping the dream feed was a complete non-issue! C didn't even wake up once...so proud of my little guy! He's actually still sleeping (it's only 6:15 here but I totally expected him to be awake by now).
I donated milk (360 oz) about two months ago. I got a surprise check in the mail for $300...totally wasn't expecting it and was very happy to help out the little babies in whatever way I could. If you have milk you aren't going to use or would like to donate I would highly recommend it...it felt so good to empty our freezer knowing it was going to great use (I used the company that our local hospital NICU gets their milk from). I was a NICU baby (born at 31 wks) so it was something I was very happy to do.

I'm beat, send coffee.
Did you try inclining the mattress and using a humidifier?
Humidifier yes, inclining the mattress no. I'll try that tonight.
I'm trading in my pos droid and coming back to the land of the iPhone today, thank God. DH can get traded in phones at work for $20 and brought home a used iPhone yesterday. I have to brave the Verizon store to get a new card but it will be worth it. iPhone for life.
I am so enamored with my new iPhone 6s. It's so shiny and neat! So many cool features! Enjoy your new phone

L has her 6 month appt this morning, boo for shots. I'm going to give her some Advil after, last time she spiked a low fever at daycare and we had to take her home. Figure it will help with the soreness too.
I've been reading Ferber and am preparing to sleep train starting tonight. Of COURSE the last 2 nights she only got up once and fell right back to sleep after her bottle, so I'm second guessing myself and wondering if she might be outgrowing MOTN wakeups on her own. I'm kind of sad to have to give up rocking her to sleep at night. But the last couple of weeks were so rough.
Good luck this morning, kdubs923! Can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl!
We officially have somewhere for baby #2 to sleep when (s)he comes. H actually read my "honey do" list yesterday and dis-assembled the bassinet and washed all the pieces, since one of the cats had decided it was his bed after we pulled it out of storage.

Its not even 9:30 and i already have a pot of soup finished on the stove. Laundry in the wash and Im enjoying a cup of coffee while DS plays in the playroom. So far we are off to a good start.
Tomorrow we are going to Thomas World! It opened this summer at Edaville Railroad near us. We didnt have a chance to go this sunmer. So we are going with family tomorrow to see Thomas World and the Christmas Festival of Lights. I cant wait!!!
Carter's is FULL OF SHIT. I actually had money to spend there last week, but the prices were so high. $15 for cotton PJs? No. So I was all excited when I got their email this morning that their BF sale started. "50% off entire store." I felt a bit better about $7.50 PJs, but noooo, they jacked the "MSRP" up to $20 so the "sale" price is now $10. They did that on everything. Such bullshit.

My H is taking the afternoon off so he and his dad can go pick up our new upright freezer. I'm so excited about this! I've been wanting extra freezer space for so long, but now that my breast milk is overtaking our regular freezer, I finally convinced H to clean out the garage so there would be room for a freezer.

I think this one is a 5s. But WHATEVER lol. It's $20, I'm cheap and ruin phones, I'll take it.

I only buy their stuff off clearance racks with the additional 25-30% off because their MSRP is so over-inflated. Its similar to Kohls, if I can't buy for more than 50% off the listed price, I won't purchase it.

I almost forgot to mention that in the car on the way to school today, DS asked me what putting up your middle finger means because apparently there are a few kids at school who have done this. I told him it was bad and not something kids should do.

My son was sooooooo emotional this morning. We spent a good 20 minutes just cuddling and wiping tears. Poor bud. He was giving DCP a stone faced look this morning too. Luckily, I pick him up at 1:30 and we are heading to Gamma and Bumpas house for Thanksgiving. They will give him too many treats, but there will be plenty of food and relaxing for me too!
I just emailed my MIL that the price of the doll house we want for DD dropped in price on Amazon. I'm sure I broke all etiquette rules by doing so but she said she wanted to buy it and so I thought I would save her $30 and let her know. She emailed back she was so happy I did and bought it this morning.
Have to go back to work tonight after being off 10 days. It's always so hard to go back after being off a while. And we have been extremely busy. I just hope I get a nap in beforehand.
We also are getting the first snow of the season today, something like 5-10 inches. I am not looking forward to driving to work in that.
So I went to a free pure barre class last night with my MOMs Club and meh. I didn't like the actual class all that much. All of the barre classes I usually take are very actual ballet barre based and I prefer it, since I love ballet. With some yoga/Pilates thrown in based on the instructor, that's what I was sort of expecting. I didn't like that there was very little stretching.
Also, the lobby was stocked full of several MLM pop up shops after the class, maybe that's why the whole thing was free? One lady got all indignant with me when I said no thank you to her business card. Newp. Totally turned me off to the whole thing, even if I had enjoyed the class.
holly116, I did a free Barre3 class about a month ago and I agree on the 'meh' feeling. Not because of the lack of ballet aspect (because I don't know crap about ballet), but in my mind if I'm going to pay as much as those classes cost I expect to work up one hell of a sweat and barre classes don't seem to be about working up a good sweat. Everyone's all "Oh there's a groupon for two months unlimited!". Yeah, for $129. I can't go often enough to make it worth even that, plus I'd have to either go when J's not at work or go when they have the childcare open which is random times that don't work with my work schedule.
DH's coworkers share too much with each other. Well I don't know what DH tells them since he's pretty private, but they share a lot with him.
One girl told him and another coworker she hasn't had sex with her husband in 6 months and is basically over being married to him. Of course she's been this way for the last 6 years and has 2 kids with him, so yeah.
I told DH maybe if they were having sex they would like each other a little bit more.
My friend and I got up early to go stalk Mike & Mike from the ESPN morning radio show (they're broadcasting in Columbus today)-we met at the restaurant they're broadcasting from, went for our run, then tried to figure out a way to sneak in after we got back. No dice on the sneaking in, but we did get a good view of them from the window

Oh yeah I agree on all points. I'd rather take a tap class once a week in the evenings to get my dance fix and stick to the classes my gym offers (that have free childcare) and fill in with running.
When the kids are in school and I'm not as tied to activities that must include a childcare option, I think I'd rather spend that kind of $$ joining a yoga studio. This place was $200 a month! They offer coupons and deals but still. And really, it wasn't any better at all than the classes my gym offers. Except they provide the nice cushy mats and have little helpers run in and put away your weights and stuff as you move from one thing to the next.
Dammit. I lose. I backed up this morning before the garage was fully open and destroyed our garage door. And now H and I are stuck inside with P, who I was supposed to take to PT.
Between this and the iPhone in the washer, I have caused a lot of property damage this month.

I objectively knew Carters pulled this shit, I'd just never seen it so clearly in such a defined, short timespan. I like their clothes so I'll keep buying it, but ugh.
