Bailed on a race cause it was 13 degrees at the start. It snowed and rained for the past two days and I'm guessing the roads are totally slick with ice (wouldn't know for sure cause I'm too lazy to go out there). Waiting for my friends to finish to see if they'll call my lazy ass for brunch or not. I'm not even sorry I bailed on the race.
Luckily in MD race directors are conservative when it comes to snow. That would have definitely been cancelled here. Ice isn't worth the risk!
Fuck my DH's job. I hate it so hard. He's stuck at work because someone didn't show up. he has the truck. the running stroller is the back of the fucking truck.
the grass is not always greener, and I feel like we are being punished every single day for him accepting this stupid fucking job.
i'm mad. can you tell? i can't rant on fb like I would like to, and i can't call my mom & say fuck Dh's job. She would stroke out.
fuck.
I'm sorry! Vent away. I can relate. The unpredictability is awful when you have kids.
Aaand five done. I hit another very personal milestone...didn't have to take a walk break at the top of my "big" hill! I actually cheered out loud on the trail.
Between shit like that and my practice leaps my neighbors probably think I'm a loon.

Got myself in gear and did 4 miles on the treadmill and 30 mins on the elliptical.
Talked to DH and he had to call out from the rest of his trip. He's currently trapped in a hotel room with a stomach virus. Ugh, I really hope he picked it up after he left home. That would be the WORST if the rest of us got it this week.

venice2007, your body must be so deep down tired. Be kind to yourself – you're almost there!
I just got back from a 3 mile run legs that felt like absolute lead. Better than the rest day I had planned – this means I've earned a few beers during the Packer game this afternoon, right?
Got a quick three miles in before heading home from Florida. I am looking forward to running in the cold again. It is amazing how much 70 and humid sucks when you've been running in the 40s for a month.
venice2007 I'm sorry you're so frustrated. But as others have said, you've been running a LOT of miles. I'm incredibly impressed you've held up so well this long - my body would've been yelling at me around 1,000! You're still a rockstar, even if you're not feeling like it right now.

I hope he gets better soon, but also that he keeps his germs in the hotel room!
I just got done with 11. It was my farthest, AND fastest since the end of February last year when my foot started wimping out. I'm so relieved to finally be getting a tiny bit of "speed" and endurance back! Oh, and the best part was I ran it by feel and didn't look at the time on my watch until about 10.8, and I negative-splitted the sh*t out of that run!
Now I have to shower up and go car browsing around town. Boo. My H totaled his car on Friday so now we have to go buy yet another new one. I hope our bad car luck is done for a few years now!

venice2007 - Hang in there. Your body has to be so tired at this point. You have done more on the regular that I can even think about on my best weeks. You will meet your goal. You should be amazingly proud of every step you've taken, good or bad. After a little rest, I'm sure the spring will be back in your step.
I have been up for a while, and have been totally lazy. No big plans today, so I've been waiting for it to get a little warmer, then will head out for a few miles. Haven't decided how many yet, but it will probably be on a trail near me. Then off to get some groceries.
Yep...super slow. That's ok - it was fun! We were 54 seconds off on our prediction time, but it was a beautiful morning and nothing hurts, so I'm happy.
It's already 73* and I just got done with 3.1 with the jogging stroller. It's been on and off around here with cold and hot. It'll be in the 80s today. I'm getting confused! The other day it was boot weather.
Up before 5am again with DS. Thankfully the rain stopped for a few hours this morning and got 8 in. It's the farthest I've run and my hips feel like they're gonna fall out of their sockets

I got 9.5 hours of sleep last night. It was amazing.
After braving three different grocery stores on the Sunday before Thanksgiving (not to mention three hours before a Packers game) and deep cleaning the bathroom, I hit a blissfully bro-free gym. God, I love the country's obsession with the NFL. Sumo deadlifts, push-ups, dumbbell squats (still nervous about putting a bar on my shoulders), rows, lunges, raises, standing lat pull downs, crunches, plus one Gilmore Girls worth of ellipticalling.
Now: polishing off 2/3 bottle of red wine while binging on Scandal.
He's working 3rd shift - he doesn't travel. It's just been on big cluster after another.
I'm sorry. You have that great new house. I hope everything else starts falling into place for you guys soon.
Oh we LOVE our house and we LOVE living in Lakeland.. It's the type of place I've been dreaming of. We are kind of in the country, but the highway is less than 1 mi away. So many parks, and playgrounds, and just a ton of free, family oriented stuff to do..... Now if Chris could only attend some of that stuff with us, that would be cool, lol.
