1. What race are you training for? When is it?Boston Marathon 4/18

2. What was your long run last week? How did it go? 90 minutes of pool running. It went ok, the pool was crowded, but I finally got a lane that worked for me. I was a little hungover though.

3. Are you planning to run on Thanksgiving? Are you doing a race or a casual run? No race, but I'm going to do my longest run post broke ankle - 4 miles. I have a few running buddies that are running Boston next year so I'm hoping they can make it.

4. What are your favorite Thanksgiving foods? Sweet potato anything, good stuffing (not stovetop crap), apple pie a la mode, turkey leg

5. Any AWs or vents from last week? I signed up for the Richmond Marathon on a whim. After the holiday party on Saturday, I discovered that a bunch of other people did as well. It's going to be awesome to be there with some of my favorite running buddies and I'm going to have lots of training partners next summer.

2. What was your long run last week? How did it go?
 9 miles, it went pretty well.  My running partner is really focusing on keeping our long runs slow and easy.  She trains slower than I do, but she races faster than I do (I basically have one speed).  I felt like I could have run faster, but hopefully slowing down will be good for me.  We picked up/dropped a few other girls in our group at various points, so it was pretty fun.  I ran with some people I don't usually run with.  


3. Are you planning to run on Thanksgiving? Are you doing a race or a casual run?
 I'm not racing.  My running partner is racing and she wants me to run that morning so that I will be just as tired as she is when we do our long run on Friday.   I may run Saturday instead, so I am not running 3 days in a row. 


4. What are your favorite Thanksgiving foods?
 That's like asking me which of my children is my favorite.  I love all of the Thanksgiving foods.  


5. Any AWs or vents from last week?
 Not really.  Just keep on keeping on.

2. What was your long run last week? How did it go? I did just about 11.5 miles. It was freaking awesome. Started with two new friends that I picked up during the middle of their long run and started slow but they called it quits halfway thru. Another new friend came and picked them up and then she came and biked out to me and biked with me and pushed me an extra 1.5 miles we even took a selfie over the highway on the pedestrian bridge. Oh and my pace 10:10 average!

3. Are you planning to run on Thanksgiving? Are you doing a race or a casual run? Yep doing my first 8k.

4. What are your favorite Thanksgiving foods? All of it? Cranberry sauce, stuffing, and sweet potatoes are my top 3.

5. Any AWs or vents from last week? First double digit run since my marathon 5 weeks ago and finally hit 20 miles for the week again. My legs have been feeling pretty good as well, so I guess 4 weeks is my marathon recovery.

Was it the pedestrian bridge over 40 on the ATT?  If so, i probably have a similar one

Yep I was eyeing it all week knowing we were running the ATT and was like hmmm I wonder if we will run over that. Yep totally did and the proceeded to run up the hills past it. And got a selfie on the way back.

 still counting on Charleston, will leave it up to my PT to make final decision


2. What was your long run last week? How did it go?
 10.6 miles.  Ran with a group who were running 15.  I didn't think it would be best to go that far after some aches started creeping in.  But pace was good.


3. Are you planning to run on Thanksgiving? Are you doing a race or a casual run?
 local ladies' 6-8 miler on Thanksgiving AM.  casual run


4. What are your favorite Thanksgiving foods?
 my grandmother's dressing and my MIL's baked mac & cheese


5. Any AWs or vents from last week?
 got my Christmas decorations up.  Had a last big dinner with my niece Friday night - she starts a very long medical journey today.  all of our nerves are shot.

Please tell me you went to Monuts Donuts afterwards?  I'm convinced Durham has the best eateries in NC

No but that's on my list of places to hit up soon. Have you been to Rise? They have awesome donuts and biscuits. Maybe melmel48 and I will go to Monuts Friday.

Yes  And chubby's tacos, and daisy cakes (don't think it is in business anymore) foster's market - i'll be spending quite a bit of time in Durham over the next few months, so will hit up my favorites

Congrats 2doxies! You did awesome!

After talking with my racing team chair, I might stick with the half at Wrightsville Beach. We are doing Cherry Blossom as a team race and it is only 2 weeks after. I should be able to get a seeded spot, meaning I could start in the group after the elites. That seems pretty damn amazing and I'd like to give it my best effort and maybe make it my A race.

I'm not doing a Turkey trot.

My favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing. My mom sometimes tries to fancy it up too much though. I like simple.

AW and vent: I had a great running week up until my stupid fall. I'm fairly optimistic I will recover well.

Supposed to be 12 but I could only get in 9 because of time constraints

The time issue is just getting to be tough. These winter swim clinics are fantastic, but they take up lots of weekend time, so I've been trying to get my long run in on Friday. But with work and kid pickups etc. Its just so hard to get a full long run in at the appropriate pace with time left over for stretching. And the long runs aren't even that long yet! I have to work something else out.
