Im working on mine right now but I'm thinking my son (he's 10): $500 - laptop will be his big gift my mom & stepdad: $100 nieces and nephew (3 of them): $100 total brother: $50 two ladies that work for me: $25 each teachers (3): $20 each and of course myself: $200 (I've been very good this year and buy myself gifts because I don't have a S/O and my son likes to see me get stuff from "Santa"
thats $1,060 ouch and I have a small list of people compared to most. Although most people don't buy themselves Christmas gifts lol

I have an overall budget but I need to break it all down. I'm using some of it as spending money while we are home as well since we used to host and I factored in that money to save.

Kids $200 x 2 Siblings $100 Nieces and nephews $200 total Parents $200 Teachers $100 ($50 for kindergarten and $25 each for preschool teacher and aide)
$350 each DS, DD, DDIL, DSIL - last year I spent $550 and I'm determined to cut that this year. $100 DGS1 (turns 4 Christmas Eve so 2 weeks before is his party and we'll spend $100 for it) $100 DGS2, this might drop to $50. He's 4 months old. $500 DH $200 gifts for others - we stopped exchanging family gifts with siblings, nieces/nephews as it had just gotten out of hand. Both our parents are gone so no parents or grandparents to buy for.

$150 ILs $50 x2 gift draw with H's side $110 x2 my college-aged siblings ($100 to savings, small gift to open) $50 brocom $50 nieces/nephew $350 tips $100 hostess gifts
H and I haven't set a budget for each other. I usually spend around $200 on him - this year will be close to $700. he wants an iPad + keyboard for his new job plus I want to buy him some fun stuff (special snacks, his favorite shirt)
people we aren't buying for as of this year: -mom (she requested no gifts; we gladly accepted) + her whole family (aunt, 5 cousins, grandparents), per mom's request -dad and his family (grandmother, step-grandpa, step-mom, step-sister, step-aunt, step-grandparents). dad refused to do a family gift draw and we said we're done with the gift orgy.
If I get my way, $400 ($150 for a secret santa gift for a member of my family, $150 for a secret santa gift for a member of his family, $50 for niece, $50 for nephew)
If my husband gets his way, $1650 ($150 for a secret santa gift for a member of my family; $300 each for his mother, father, sister, and sister's boyfriend; $100 each for his 2 uncles; $50 for his mother's best friend; $50 for niece; $50 for nephew)
How do I not win the argument that he should push for a secret santa gift among his family and that him saying "I like to get presents" doesn't justify us spending that much?
Either way, plus $1000 or so for our building staff.
And we don't give each other gifts, but I plan to buy myself a robot vacuum this week and call it a gift from him to me ($260ish)
I try to do it all for $1,500. General breakdown is:
Husband - $150-200 Inlaws - $100 Parents - $100 Kid A - $300-400 Kid B - $300-400 Kid C - $150-200 Neices/Nephews (4 total) - $120 Sisters - $75 My admins - $50 School Teachers/etc - $75 Sitter - $25
Ha, that is more like $1700. That explains why I am over budget a lot! This also doesn't include a few gift giving parties I go to or the gifts we buy to donate. I try to spend about $200 on those and also donate to the local food pantry. So, I guess I spend about $2000 on gifts. Yikes. I feel like we are pretty good about it too!!

Probably about $1K. This includes parents, niece/nephew, our homemade gift of pomegranate vodka to pretty much everyone, and our employees. We have like 25 employees between us. We haven't decided if we are going to do gifts for each other yet. Likely just a nice dinner.
About $1000. This is for DS and our families (about 10 other people). We buy each other our gifts from our own personal money. although this year neither of us has much so I may allocate about $100-200 for us to buy something for each other.
From our joint money, probably about $800. About $100 each x3 parents, $50 for our nephew and $100 aunts/uncles. Then about $350 for angel tree and adopted family gifts.
We exchange with each other, but don't set a budget really and that comes from our separate fun money accounts anyhow.
About $800. $200 for my sister (Athleta tops) $200 for my my mom (Athleta tops) $100 for my dad (Nordstrom's shirts) $200 in misc. stuff for H and stockings $100 Secret Santas, the dogs, anything I forgot
I probably spend around $150-200 on MH, and he spends about the same on me.
Immediate family is down to just my mom, my brother, and my sister, so maybe $100 each on them. $25 for a little something for my sister's boyfriend.
I don't know if MH wants to go see his extended family this year. We used to visit every year and buy ~$25 gifts for 9 adults and 10 kids, yikes. Last year we told them we're only buying for the kids from now on, and please do not buy us anything. And maybe $10-20 for a hostess gift, like a box of chocolates/cookies (I like that big tin from Costco) or a new Christmas platter filled with homemade treats. If we go visit his other extended family members, then probably $50 total for a hostess gift and a small gift for the one little kid in the family. If we go visit MY extended family, there are four adults and three kids/young adults to buy for, and we spend between $10-25 each.
And maybe $20 total to put something in our pets' stockings and buy a box of biscuits for my brother's dog, lol.
Let's see.... Our Kids and us: 4 x $200 = $800 Two secret santas for my family: 2 x 75 = 150 DH's family: 4 x 75 = $300 angels: 4 x 75 = $300 teachers: we haven't quite figured this out yet, between K and daycare: $150ish All the other kids in the family: 7 x $45ish = $315 tips for cleaning lady and hair dresser: $100 Total: somewhere around $2100 ouch. I'm just glad my family does the Secret Santa.
Son & DIL - $300 each 2 grandchildren - $400 each family gift for son/dil/granchildren $350 Parents - $150 2 Great nieces - $20 each brother - $25 work - $50 plus a charitable donation in memory of my husband $500
As you can see I love to spoil my son and his family

Kids $200 each = $400 My family $20 each = $140 DH (only a stocking) = $50 Me (stocking) = $50 DH's parents ($100 ea) = $200 Siblings (we went big this year) = $250 DH's rest of family = $140 Daycare = $100 Angel = $100 Friends my fave things party = $50 Cleaning lady = $40
No kids yet. Not going to go over everyone but our parents each get a $100, siblings $50, niece and nephew $200, H and I $400. The amount also includes gift supplies (paper, tape), work people, and community donations. Well also take my Fam out to dinner somewhere not that expensive (like Buffalo Wild Wings). It costs like $250-300.
H has lost >100lbs in the past year so I may need to go over on him. All of his work clothing is HUGE. We've had items altered but it's starting to look really bad...

H - $300 DD - $50 MIL - $50 FIL - $80 SILS and DHs - 4 x $30 = $120 Nephews x 5 = 5 x $30 = $150 Cousin's daughter - $50 (incl postage to the UK) Gran - $100 (incl Postage to UK but I took a lot of stuff when we went in July) Uncle - $60 (ditto gran) Step dad - $50 with postage Friend's two kids - $60 (postage to UK incl) Friend here - $20 Daycare - $100 H's assistants - 2 x $50 and 3 x $30 = $190
Total - $1330
This is a a cheap year because we are not going to my family's in Wisconsin, otherwise we would be adding families x 6 @ $50 per family.
I have cut down a lot in recent years and have around $400 to spend in CC giftcards and swagbucks amazon which helps a lot.
Bit under $1k for my side, but more including in-laws.
H - $300 Mom - $100 Stepdad - $100 Dad - $100 Dad's GF - $100 step niece - $50 niece - $50 Brother and SIL - $150ish SIL and BIL - $100ish? SIL2 - MIL and FIL - $200? Charitable gifts for family in need - $100
My husband basically buys for his side, so I don't know. Sometimes I give him ideas.
My kids: 300 H and I: 150 My parents: 100 H's parents: 100 SIL: 50 SIL: 50 BIL: 50 BRO: 50 Goddaughter: 100 Nieces and nephews (4): 150 Total: 1100, not counting GC for teachers (probably 20 per teacher, times 8), so add another 160.
ETA: I'm getting angry just thinking about this, lol. I love buying for Christmas, but my family always buys super expensive gifts that they can not afford and we always get crap for sticking to a budget. (crap like my mom calling my brother "Did you know your sister has a BUDGET for Christmas gifts??? Isn't that crazy?? Maybe we should do that too. Although Christmas is only once a year, blablabla".)
I hate everybody.
ETA2: Goddammit, I thought I was on ML. Hi. My name is papie and my family is crazy. Ok bye.
Kids- $600 (4 kids with $150 avg.) Donations- $350 Calendars for grandparents- $60 Kids' gift exchange with cousins- $100 Candy and baked treats for neighbors/friends- $100 Teacher gifts and gardener- $125 DH's employees- $200 Secret Santa- $25 Piano that DH and I are counting as our gift to each other- $1300 Total- $2860
DH and I will sometimes have a $ amount that we will set and some years, like this year, we will make a large purchase as a gift. On the years we set the $ amount it is usually $100-$200 so it is quite a bit less than this year.
I have an overall budget but I need to break it all down. I'm using some of it as spending money while we are home as well since we used to host and I factored in that money to save.
You can use that $$$ to buy me a present. I wouldn't cry if you did.
