What is your training plan for the week? Might do some upper body and core. I start PT Monday. * This week's focus? Move my foot a little. Eat drink and be merry. * What are you excited for? Thanksgiving! Not having anything to do for a few days.
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? My ankle still hurts and is very swollen.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I won a 10k.
What are you training for? Date? Charleston Half, January
What is your training plan for the week? Sun 6 miles, Mon 2 miles (got a weird pain in my leg), Tues Xfit, Wed 4 miles, Thurs 5K trot, Fri xfit, Sat 8 miles
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Got the weirdest pain in my leg while running last night. I tried to stretch it out and walk it off but it felt really off, so I threw in the towel at mile 2. The rest of the evening my leg ached whenever I walked, but this morning it is fine.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I did 4 miles and 6 miles this weekend and they both felt so great. I am still slower than I was a year ago, but feeling stronger; I am not stopping to walk like I was just a month ago. On my 6 mile run, though I was 5 minutes slower than what I would have run just a year ago, I did not stop to walk once.
What is your training plan for the week? * This week's focus? keeping the same workout schedule during the holidays - and not eat all the cookies at the cookie swap * What are you excited for? seeing my sister, my best friend and another really good friend! And food
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? still trying to get over the piriformis issues. I can tell i'm getting stronger at PT, but can still feel it during focused foam rolling & graston....and once i get around 10+ miles. Another appt and dry needling tomorrow, hopeful it helps kick it for good.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? nice steady long run saturday
What are you training for? Date? Staying in decent shape, L&D
What is your training plan for the week? M- yoga class T- 3 mile run (outside in 30* on Nov 24th!) W- run or strength stuff Th- quick morning run? F - off? Sa/ Sun - semi-long run either day * This week's focus? Get to yoga = mission accomplished, stretch daily * What are you excited for? Food! It's thanksgiving week.
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? I basically fell over in triangle pose last night. Balance trouble is a thing; oy! My whole abdomen feels heavier (duh) and more uncomfortable running. I'm questioning how long I'll make it, but so far slowing down works ok.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Nice weather a few days last week; our roads are still free of ice/snow which is great for late November.

Training for: Turkey Trot on Thursday - my first 5k in 4.5 years!
Training for the week: I lifted Sunday, ellipticalled yesterday, and am running tonight. Tomorrow will be upper body lifting and elliptical.
This week's focus: running MORE than 5k so that I go in confident.
Excited for: FLEECE HOODIE! Also, post-Turkey Trot wine and pie. We ordered our pie from a place that made Time Out's top 10 pies in America list.
Issues/vents/obstacles: it's supposed to be about 45 and rainy for the race. UGH. Terrible. I really hope the wind isn't blowing off the lake.
AWs: just that I ran 5k on Thursday! I'm significantly heavier than I was 4.5 years ago (and hoping running will help me shed some of those pounds), so this is more challenging than I wish it were. But I'm proud that I've stuck with it!

What are you training for? Date?
Honestly, nothing. I'm just maintaining right now. I'm planning to run a small local race on Saturday (there's a 5 and 10-mile option, and I'm hoping to run the 10 mile if I'm up for it). Then there's the Charleston half marathon in January.
What is your training plan for the week? I'm making this up as I go along.
M: 5 mi w/4x800 @10k pace, body pump class T: Body pump class (usually I don't do this two days in a row, but I don't see myself going to the gym later in the week) W: Run of some length (5 mi?) Th: 6-8 mi run F: rest? Sat: 10 mi (or 5 if I bail early) Sun: Rest or a short shakeout run
* This week's focus?
Try not to turn into a slug during the holidays/winter. That's pretty much my focus until April.
* What are you excited for? Thanksgiving, of course!
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? It's dark and cold. Repeat until April.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I got up early for my workouts most days.

Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? My left leg has been bothering me the last few days. I've been doing some extra stretching, and it's a little better, but it still is nagging.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Doing my run on Sunday in capris, something that is totally unheard of around here this time of year. It felt so good not to be bundled up.

Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Work is very annoying lately and I'm just done.
Highlights or AW's from the past week?I ran 3 miles yesterday during lunch. It felt great! The ankle didn't hurt one bit afterwards. Even though it wasn't ideal. I left my sports bra at home so I had to wear my regular bra. LOL. It worked out ok, thankfully.
Edit: Oh and how could I forget! I registered for the Richmond Marathon. It's going to be a blast! So many of my favorite running buddies signed up too.
Just building back a base now. Today was 5ish and yoga. My focus in all of this is to build some speed. I've got LSD down. Excited for? Thanksgiving to be over (could really care less about turkey, etc) because then it means I can put up Christmas decorations and start playing Christmas music!! We also have a Ivf meeting coming up. Excited and unsure at the same time. What's the expression? Shit or get off the pot?

YES! DH and I are both super excited to get our tree on Sunday! I've already been binge-watching Hallmark Christmas movies for weeks. Good luck with the IVF meeting. I'm intimately familiar with all the feelings that go along with the process.

Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week?
I already told lb2006 earlier this week, it looks looking like I'll be out for Charleston. Bless her heart, my mom volunteered to watch the kids that weekend. But it was quite apparent when she was here last week, that 3 kids at this age is too much right now. I'm going to keep training with Janauary half in mind, if by some good fortune DH is lucky enough to get a holiday weekend off from work.

I'm bummed you wont be able to make it runblondie26 My mom has trouble watching all 3 of mine, so I get it. One of the hardest parts about 3 is getting someone to watch them. Yours are still so little though. It will get easier on your mom as they get older. My older two practically watch the youngest now. I feel like my babysitters should give me a discount for the trouble shooting they do
Run fitness /injury recovery, ultimate goal is to do a late spring half

DH is off tomorrow and I only work in the morning. I am hoping to convince him to run with mewhile the kids are in school. We never get to run together.
My knee started hurting again on my run on Monday. I am calling it a fluke to avoid crying out of frustration. I honestly don't know what I am going to do if I can't run more than 3 miles after all the time and money I have spent rehabilitating it.

Yeah, it's a difficult age for even DH and I right now, let alone an "outsider". My mom watched DD, and DS when he was 5 months old, for Boston Marathon weekend. She was pretty frazzled when we got home, but I think the excitement of a new grandbaby! made her forget (or at least look back with rose colored memories) about that, lol. Three is a whole 'nother ballgame.
