What are you training for? Date? I have a Turkey Trot Thursday and a 5k in December. After that is the year of the half marathons.
What is your training plan for the week? M/W/F - CrossFit T - Rest Th - 5K Sat or Sun - Run 4+ * This week's focus? Not eating like crazy * What are you excited for? Turkey Trot. Kind of. I haven't figured out if I want to chill on it and run an easy pace or go balls to the walls and try to PR.
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Food. Why?!?!
Highlights or AW's from the past week? My shoulders are looking nice.

Happy Thanksgiving week! As always, I am thankful for you guys and hope you have a fantastic turkey day. And I'm thankful for all y'all.
What are you training for? Date? Space Coast Half on Sunday!!!!
What is your training plan for the week?
M: Bike 30 min T: 3 mi W: weights maybe. Definitely some yoga. R: 4 mi F: Drive to FL. Again. S: 2 mi shakeout Su: 13.1 mi. Then drink.
* This week's focus? Not losing my shit or telling somebody on campus to f off. Today is my last day of work for the week. Surely I can keep it together for another 4 hours.
* What are you excited for? Racing/celebrating racing. And frankly, not being on a training plan for a little while.
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? The forecast for Sunday is high 70's and humid plus a chance of rain. I know its central Florida, but can't I catch a break here??
Highlights or AW's from the past week? Not so much this past week, but the weekend before I ran a 12K and did really really well. If everything goes right Sunday (you hear that Mother Nature? Send a cold front please!) I should hit my time goal.
5k the next 2 Saturdays, then maybe a 4 miler in New Year's Eve (need to decide in the next week before prices go up!)
Monday: rest Tuesday: lifting Wednesday: run Thursday: competitive Thanksgiving eating Friday: run Saturday: 5k Sunday: depends on when we drive home. Maybe a bike ride?
I'm pumped to see my family, especially my favorite cousins
My family also does 3 days of set meals, chili on Wednesday, traditional Thanksgiving on Thursday, then homemade Italian (pasta, sauce, meatballs) on Friday. I LOVE IT ALL.
What is your training plan for the week? M: 4 miles easy T: 3 miles W: rest TH: Drumstick dash (I'm hoping for 7 miles total) F: hot yoga S: 6 miles Su: strength? * This week's focus? Base building * What are you excited for? eatong all of the food on Thursday!
M - power toning (don't laugh, it's harrrrd), jasyoga Tu- spinning W - swim maybe? If not, the 90 minute spin, jasyoga Th - Turkey Trot 5k F- rest Sa - hopefully a run...maybe 4-5 miles Su - yoga
Also, PT and strength work every day
* This week's focus? Active rest. I don't really know what's going on with my right leg. It's fucked up from hip to toe. I think maybe I've got PF forming now. This just sucks. * What are you excited for? Honestly? Nothing. I'm super discouraged about my state of affairs right now, and am trying really hard to not wallow in it or just give up. I think about mrshandy and cinco with real injuries and that they're being all good and smart and I feel...I dunno...super lame. Then I spiral into how I'll never be ready for Boston and why even bother. Ugh.
Any issues or vents? Obstacles for the week? Um...see above.
Highlights or AW's from the past week? I got new shoes? Is that a highlight? I really got nothin', I'm hoping joining up in this thread again will remind me that it's going to be okay. OH! hannahb is awesome. That's a highlight.

Aww shucks. Hopefully the PF is just getting used to the new shoes. I wish I lived near you for many many reasons but so I could come take a look at your pelvic alignment. Given the IT band stuff and now the foot it could be a pelvic rotation causing that leg to hit the ground weird. Keep plugging away with those hip exercises. Maybe do some yoga? Hugs. It's frustrating. it's annoying when you can't figure out that one thing that's the root of everything

I'm sorry! You can do this. It sucks yes. Maybe try pool running. It's kind of boring, but can be a great running substitute. I used this website as my guide.
