quick clarification: the blog, from what I can tell, is written by a black organization. The culprit here is the MN GOP people appropriating it to make a partisan attack on the Dems and then the social media guy making #negroproblem a thing. (And then also the social media guy likes to say things like he said in the next tweet down).
The chairman of the Minnesota Republican Party was forced to apologize Tuesday after a local GOP branch posted about state Democrats' "#Negroproblem" on social media.
The 7th Congressional District GOP borrowed the term from a blog post they shared on Facebook and Twitter on Sunday, according to the alternative weekly Minneapolis City Pages. The blog post, written on the website Our Black News, was about the state's Democrat-Farmer-Labor party, which the author wrote had called for a "special session" to address the "Negro problem in Minnesota."
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
The chairperson fired the person (a volunteer?) who did #negroproblem and posted a quick sorry about the posts. IMO, apologies need to state what you're sorry for and state the bad impact you know it had. He was tweeting it which I guess is why it was brief, but dude, how about making a real statement where you can express yourself fully? Isn't this worth doing so?
