What types of things do you have left to get? The only big item I didn't get was a high chair, which I'm on the fence about anyway, so I'm holding off until I actually need one.
I do have a large gift card from the people at work that I plan to use towards a convertible car seat. I'm not sure if I'll be able to use my completion discount on that though. Although, with 4 weeks left, I still haven't gotten my completion discount from BRU. Annoying!
I'm not stocking up on diapers, because we haven't decided what we're doing. I'm going to get a few boxes of newborn diapers and some cloth diapers. I'd like to cloth diaper, and our daycare allows it, but I'm going to use disposables for newborn because I figure I'll have enough to learn at that stage without dealing with cloth diapering.
I hope to get most big stuff and necessities in advance.
I think I'm good on big stuff, I do still need our convertible car seat but I may wait since it's not eligible for completion. It's all the little stuff that I feel like I need Boon drying rack and twig Dishwasher basket Steam bags Burp cloths (profold diapers) Nipple cream Bamboobies Gel pads for boobs Hand pump Nursing cover Waterproof mattress pads for bassinest and crib (I have one for the crib) Swaddles (I have one NB sleep sack, one small sleep sack, and one M/L swaddleme); planning on getting a zipper one and a size small swaddle me Changing pad Changing pad cover Changing pad liners Diaper pail Cloth liners for diaper pail Hanging wet bag for playroom NB diapers (I have 35 on hand) Cloth diapers if a good sale (I have maybe 10 on hand) Diaper rash cream Hand sanitizers for each changing station Diaper sprayer and pail (may wait on this) Trash can for nursery Mommy hook for stroller Car seat adaptor for stroller Brush/comb All the infant first aid type stuff (Tylenol, thermometer, gripe water, gas drops, etc) Wash cloths + hooded towels? I have 5 wash clothes and 3 hooded towels Sound machine Monitor Zutano hat, booties, elf suit Carters white onsies in 0-3 mo (maybe NB?) for layering Mittens Knit hats? not sure if needed Warm blanket for car DH back pack diaper bag Paci holder and be quick for my diaper bag Stroller travel bag (probably will wait on UBV one but need umbrella stroller one as its being stored in the garage, hand me down so no box) Cuddle blanket for playroom (this is for me)

I used to moonlight for BRU as a customer service rep. Call them and get a replacement. They should be able to get it to you within 7-10 business days. I'm pretty sure that I got my certificate 8 weeks before my due date and just about almost threw it away. It looked like a sale post card.
not everything on your registry will qualify for the 15% off completion discount (barely 50% of my stuff did at least)...i would hit that button and see what will be included and narrow down the list from there.
I would definitely get:
burp cloths wash cloths/towels first aid stuff sound machine monitor stroller attachment for carseat nipple essentials for you
jd15 almost all of these do, thankfully! There are a couple of random things that don't but hopefully I can get those with a 20% off at BBB. I worked really hard at selecting eligible items.
I've been waiting for black friday and boxing day deals, but may not last until boxing day, so I think I'll buy some stuff this weekend. The only big items I've bought so far are the pram (used) and a nursing pump. I managed to get some nursing tanks and covers from my friend when I went to visit her. We'll buy some diapers too, but we're going to use a cloth diaper service so no point in stocking up too much.

You can also go into a BRU and tell them and they can issue the registry completion discount immediately. (At least this is what they told me)
I think I'm good on big stuff, I do still need our convertible car seat but I may wait since it's not eligible for completion. It's all the little stuff that I feel like I need Boon drying rack and twig - rarely used ours but we had drop ins so no need to turn the bottle over. Dishwasher basket - rarely used ours. Steam bags - didn't use much Burp cloths (profold diapers) - yes! Nipple cream - hospital gave me some. Didn't need much after that. Bamboobies ? Gel pads for boobs - bought but didn't do much Hand pump - didn't buy Nursing cover - I used this a lot Waterproof mattress pads for bassinest and crib (I have one for the crib) - mattresses were already waterproof. Swaddles (I have one NB sleep sack, one small sleep sack, and one M/L swaddleme); planning on getting a zipper one and a size small swaddle me - D didn't like the swaddleme. We are planning to try out hers on the new baby and then buy one that isn't so pink if he likes it. Changing pad - we used this a lot for a few years. Changing pad cover - yup Changing pad liners - ? We used the prefolds to catch poop. Diaper pail - we used a small trash can. Cloth liners for diaper pail Hanging wet bag for playroom NB diapers (I have 35 on hand) - hospital gave us a bunch. See what size baby is. Cloth diapers if a good sale (I have maybe 10 on hand) Diaper rash cream - yup Hand sanitizers for each changing station - I think washing hands is generally considered better, but we did use hand sanitizer, especially when out. Diaper sprayer and pail (may wait on this) ? Trash can for nursery - see above Mommy hook for stroller - didn't buy or need Car seat adaptor for stroller - yes Brush/comb - baby had no hair, but it was useful All the infant first aid type stuff (Tylenol, thermometer, gripe water, gas drops, etc) - Tylenol and thermometer were used, but gas drops were junk. I just bought medicine as we needed it. Wash cloths + hooded towels? I have 5 wash clothes and 3 hooded towels - that is plenty. Sound machine - YES Monitor - yes Zutano hat, booties, elf suit ? Carters white onsies in 0-3 mo (maybe NB?) for layering ? Mittens - bought and didn't use Knit hats? not sure if needed - bought and didn't use Warm blanket for car - sure if you don't have a blanket DH back pack diaper bag ? Paci holder and be quick for my diaper bag - didn't need Stroller travel bag (probably will wait on UBV one but need umbrella stroller one as its being stored in the garage, hand me down so no box) - didn't need. When we out the stroller in the attic, h put a plastic bag over it. Cuddle blanket for playroom (this is for me)
I think I'm good on big stuff, I do still need our convertible car seat but I may wait since it's not eligible for completion. Yes, wait. a) you may find after using the infant seat for a while that you or your kiddo have preferences that you don't know yet, plus b) no reason to burn expiration months since the convertible seat will be in use longer.
It's all the little stuff that I feel like I need Boon drying rack and twig We got the biggest one (the lawn?) and it is sufficient but in full use. Twig not necessary. Dishwasher basket Go ahead and order if you're pretty sure you're going to pump/do bottles. I held off b/c I wasn't sure, but it was among our 1st week Prime orders. Steam bags Ditto. Burp cloths (profold diapers) We had 9, and bought another 4 pack this week. Have lots on hand. Nipple cream Yes. You want this in the hospital if you are breastfeeding/pumping. Note that you can use FSA funds for this. Bamboobies I got disposable breast pads, but yes you will prob want these in the hospital (although mine gave me free samples of Medela pads). Note that you can use FSA funds for this. Gel pads for boobs I skipped Hand pump Nice to have, but not necessary immediately (although because of my pump ordering sitch I was glad to have) Nursing cover Maybe hold off until you are sure how bf'ing is going? Waterproof mattress pads for bassinest and crib (I have one for the crib) I have Swaddles (I have one NB sleep sack, one small sleep sack, and one M/L swaddleme); planning on getting a zipper one and a size small swaddle me Hobbes is too little to use these (they don't actually swaddle her snugly); we're using A&A blankets for now. Changing pad Yes Changing pad cover Yes, maybe >1. Changing pad liners ?? Diaper pail Yes Cloth liners for diaper pail ?? Hanging wet bag for playroom ?? NB diapers (I have 35 on hand) Depends on baby's size. In the 1st week home we used up two 32-packs of NB. We have an 88 pack to open next. Cloth diapers if a good sale (I have maybe 10 on hand) We're not CDing so can't help here. Diaper rash cream I bought but have not used yet. Hand sanitizers for each changing station We just wash hands. Diaper sprayer and pail (may wait on this) Again, can't help here. Trash can for nursery Didn't feel this was necessary myself. Mommy hook for stroller Haven't used/needed. Car seat adaptor for stroller Depends on which stroller, what uses you envision, etc. We waited on BOB adapter b/c not sure we'll use BOB much until spring when she may be big enough to use w/o car seat. Brush/comb We skipped. All the infant first aid type stuff (Tylenol, thermometer, gripe water, gas drops, etc) We bought Tylenol, gas drops, thermometer (should've skipped, got freebie at hospital) and emory boards Wash cloths + hooded towels? I have 5 wash clothes and 3 hooded towels I didn't buy, but was gifted some. Sound machine We haven't needed. Monitor Yes Zutano hat, booties, elf suit We have gotten SO MANY CLOTHES as gifts since she was born. I would not buy much now. Carters white onsies in 0-3 mo (maybe NB?) for layering maybe yes. Hobbes wears a lot of onesies or kimono shirts + blanket right now. I prefer onesies that snap up the side rather than pull over head until she loses umbilical cord stump. H&M's are great. Mittens We skipped, don't need if you file nails. Knit hats? not sure if needed We're not using many hats. Warm blanket for car We did a shower cap style car seat cover instead. DH back pack diaper bag We only got one diaper bag that sticks with her. Paci holder and be quick for my diaper bag Yes, you'll want at least one diaper bag right away. (I got the BFF. Skipped paci holder since I wasn't sure if she'd be a paci baby.) Stroller travel bag (probably will wait on UBV one but need umbrella stroller one as its being stored in the garage, hand me down so no box) I wouldn't buy a travel bag yet for this purpose. Trash bags are cheap and will keep clean in garage. Cuddle blanket for playroom (this is for me)
I know the 15% Amazon Mom discount is tempting, but you're not saving $ if you over-buy things you ultimately don't use. I kept trying to remember that.
Also re: travel stroller bags- if you have a Southwest sky cap at your airport they apparently have awesome, huge travel bags for $15. We're not planning on buying the UBV travel bag to go with our stroller bc this one is bigger and nicer.
I have a registry with about 25 items left on it. Mostly I'm saving now per pay check for last minute items since I don't know what my family will send me and if I'm having a baby shower.
Probably the month before I'm due, I'll grab the rest of my registry items.
I had a problem with wanting to buy everything all the time.

While there are some items you definitely need (changing pad and diaper pail), I agree that the discount isn't worth it to over buy.
That's not to say we didn't place 257389 Amazon orders within a month of birth, but you can only be so prepared.
And I also got a lot of stuff from the hospital, including a hand pump. I think they always stock the room with some medela pump parts in case you have to pump and a hand pump was included. I didn't pump at the hospital, but the nurses put it with my bags. At the time I was like I don't need this (my insurance pump is not a medela) but they said just take it. Months later, just as I was about to buy one I read online that a medela hand pump may be in the hospital parts bag. Sure enough I found the bag and it was in there!
And it's the easiest outfit going, with possible exception of footie sleepers. No socks, no over-the-head. Hobbes wears 0-1 mo. now at about 7 lbs.
Thanks! I should probably get a bigger size as baby is almost 7 lbs and I have 5.5 weeks to go ?
Lol, yes Maybe 1-2 sizes bigger?
I know we all hear anecdotal evidence of u/s measurements being way off, but I don't think they were for Hobbes. Her birth weight was along a pretty predictable trajectory from her 36 week u/s weight estimate.

I feel like the baby will be a little smaller, but not much. I've had four since 20w and they've consistently been off the growth charts. With so much data it's hard to expect that they will be off by much. Plus I doubt they are all wrong in the same direction -- my OB keeps reminding me that it's plus OR minus 10%, so there's a chance the baby could be even bigger too.
I'd actually skip the bamboobies in favor of some disposable pads. I've only just recently been able to use the bamboobies. They did nothing to contain the amount I leaked until like last week and even then not overnight.
ETA: yes I still lurk. I'm waiting for some familiar faces to birth their babies!

I used to moonlight for BRU as a customer service rep. Call them and get a replacement. They should be able to get it to you within 7-10 business days. I'm pretty sure that I got my certificate 8 weeks before my due date and just about almost threw it away. It looked like a sale post card.
I called them and the rep said that they don't send them until 10-12 weeks after the due date. I explained that I knew I don't get the rewards gift card until then, I was looking for the completion discount. She was clueless. I called my local store and they were just able to give me one there.

Sounds like she was confused or a newer rep. They trained us that they clearly get them beforehand. Glad your store helped you out.
