We are staying home and I'm cooking, but no one is coming over. I thought it would be too weird and even told my mom to stay away.
I'll go out on Black Friday, as I usually do. I try to pick up some on sale toys to give to Toys for Tots. Toys R Us always does a $10 Crayola bucket. I wasn't too impressed with the sales this year, but Ulta has a brush set I really want. Unfortunately, they are opening at 6pm tomorrow so it will probably be gone by Friday.
We don't do "traditional" Thanksgivings! Tomorrow morning DS and I are doing our usual 2 mile Turkey Trot and then we grab hot chocolate/coffee before I dump him off with his dad. Then DD and I will meet up with a friend and her DD (and possibly coworker/friend) to eat random things at Perkins (last year we split a variety basket) and then go to the movies to see Mocking Jay. I'm on-call at 4, so I'll be home crossing my fingers nothing goes down.
I might be going to see strippers with some coworkers on Saturday, but that's not set in stone, yet.
We'll put up the tree on Sunday, when DS comes home.

I'm doing turkey day with my parents tomorrow. Bridal shower on friday (who has their bridal shower on Black Friday??). Then I get ds from his dad friday night. I'm debating on whether or not to go get a tree this weekend, or wait 2 more weeks...
I'll be at my parents' house for Thanksgiving. I'm making the apple pie today once I get there. Tomorrow I won't have to do too much, I don't think. I'm not doing any Black Friday shopping, or at least not planning to. I don't think I'm getting a tree this weekend but I'm planning to put up my wreath and some outdoor lights. I'm debating buying a real wreath this year instead to get that beautiful smell.

I am really looking forward to this weekend as my brother and his fam are in town, so everyone will be here.
Tomorrow we will go to my sister's house. I am making sweet potato casserole and baked brie. We will be there all day. Friday we have a tradition that we all go to the local AHL hockey game. We rent out a party deck and my brother does an open bar so that is always fun. Saturday I am going to check out more stables and then we are doing a family bday party at my brother's house.
No black Friday shopping for me, unless it is online.
It's going to be a packed house at my parent's place. Mom's side of the family plus my brother's IL's are all coming. I'm working at home on Friday, but mom and I are sneaking away from my laptop to see the latest Hunger Games and probably have lunch somewhere.
Everyone is bringing a dish to share amongst the masses... mine is maple and orange mashed sweet potatoes. I made them a few years ago and they are yummy. And easy.
I'm going to be running the 8k turkey trot I always run with a friend and afterwards I'll be cooking and enjoying the day in my pajamas! Christmas tree for me on Friday.
We aren't doing a traditional Thanksgiving this year because my grandma said she wanted the holiday to "just go way". We're all here for the funeral Saturday though so the whole dam farm is going to be at grandma's tomorrow. I spent today making three huge pans of lasagna for the 24 people who are coming. When I was done my uncle, mom and I went over some of my grandparent's financial stuff. We have a problem with his pension which we think can be fixed but it'll likely take a good amount of time to sort it out...my uncle estimated up to a year. So we were devising plans to make sure my grandma has the same amount of money each month that she has always had. She's very upset about taking money from us as she does not want to be a "burden". I sat her down and explained that she would be no burden to me in any way shape or form. I explained that I felt privileged to share my financial success with her. It made her cry so I think it worked...at least I hope it did. I want her happy and comfortable and not worried about money. Did I mention this sucks?
kaneen you are awesome (as are you mom and uncle). Your grandma if lucky to have such a devoted and caring granddaughter and I'm sure she knew it even before this. Grrrr to the pension issue. I hope it can be resolved more quickly than a year.
We are Ct. at inlaws until sat. not a big crowd this year only 15 of us. Gianna and Danilo are here. They leave tomorrow and we will stay till sat. NO shopping for me, i am almost done and will not got back into a store until after xmas.
Yeah so I dropped a knife on my foot by accident when I was trying to put the turkey in the oven. Oops! I ended up with stitches, but now I'm finishing up my cooking and enjoying s quiet evening!
