DD was a beast this afternoon. I brought her up to bed 15 mins ago and she fell asleep with the bottle in her mouth after drinking about an ounce. She "should" sleep well.
I stamped and addressed all our Christmas cards this afternoon. Ready to go out on Friday!
The work day is still not over on the west coast! There are maybe five people left in the office. The marketing people across the hall have put turkey gifs up on the flat screen TVs.
For about six hours, there was a chance that spunbutterfly and msniq would have the same due date, but ... newp. Oh well, better luck next month.

DD did her typical cat naps all day for my mom and she seemed pretty frazzled when I got home from work. I think having all 3 kids today was a little overwhelming, understandably so. Once again, life for everyone will get so much better for everyone once DD is a few months older and can take reliable naps in her crib and not take so much effort to get down for naps that don't even last that long.
I think DD just got super overtired since grandparents never seem to understand the whole "a 3 month old baby can only be awake for less than 1.5 hours" thing. So my mom said she had a few big crying episodes. Poor baby and poor grandma. My step dad came over at some point and my mom just left all 3 kids with him and took the dog for a walk around the block just to get some space. I feel so bad. It's been a long 2 weeks for all of us. Last week my mom came OOT with me for my work conference and did a lot of baby care, then we are only home for 12 hours when we find out our close family friend/my godfather died. So my mom has also been helping out my godmother and family. I think she's just tired and suffering a bit from childcare fatigue.
My kid was an asshole all through dinner with my parents and MIL and her husband. So she earned bath and bed after. But she didn't sleep well last night and had a short nap today so I know she was tired.
So DH and I have been together almost 10 years. MIL has cooked for her family at thanksgiving once and that was when DH asked someone else to host bc E was only 6m and I wanted a break. Every year she comes to our thanksgiving and then whines and complains that she has to cook for her husbands family on Black Friday. Tonight she's talking to my sister and goes "yeah husbands grandson is flying in Friday and we're hosting thanksgiving for his side Saturday." WTF? So you cook for his family, but not your own kids?
J took an extra long nap this afternoon so I had time to read the rest of my book, make cranberry sauce and get apple pie in the oven. Then H came home early. Fabulous afternoon.

namasteak - DH and I have just taken to going to bed at 830/9pm since all the kids go to bed around 7pm and we never know how much sleep we are going to get with DD. It sucks, but I just keep reminding myself it's only temporary.
MSPI moms - what are the signs? Ds2 spits up ALOT and I'm wondering if I the issue is not milk/egg/wheat and I need to eliminate all dairy (currently eating butter & hidden dairy) and soy.

Soooo I know I keep whining about our bathroom remodel but today we found out the new tub is leaking into the basement. If they can't figure out a fix they may have to tear it out and start over.
Both my kids are sick, again, or still. Not like really sick, just not healthy. I am praying for an ok night's sleep. DS is getting his upper teeth I think
I went to my PPMD meeting today and referenced GBCN as one of my supports. Lol. But you are.
I am planning on watching tv and then going to sleep once P wakes. yay!
I'm not particularly looking forward to the next couple of days. DH is working every night until Sunday so will be sleeping during the day. The kids don't have school. Everything is closed tomorrow and I'm scared to face the crowds on Friday. I hate having to keep the kids quiet inside during the day so DH can sleep so normally we try to get out of the house most of the day. I am guessing many trips to the park will be in our future. At least we get to go to my mom's on Sunday to celebrate Thanksgiving and DH is going with so I can drink (and not have to drive home).

Same here. I need to remember it's not forever and I have about 2 months until I can sleep train. He was doing 6hr stretches but the last week or so has been tough!

I went to Target today because we need a nice tablecloth to cover our ugly dining table. I couldn't find any fall ones, so I grabbed a Christmas one. Close enough, and I can use it again in 31 days.
I also bought a Christmas tree. I know they aren't the best quality, but for $33, that's fine with me.

Yeah, DD seemed to be solidly down to just one wake up around 3 or 4am (amazing!). But the last few days she's been a beast to get down for the night and throwing a midnight wake up in there too. And then there is the chronic cat naps during the day...sigh...babies are exhausting.
Everyone here seems so amazed and frustrated that dd2 is just a moody kid and only wants me. It's babies! They cry for no reason. There is nothing wrong with her. She cries for sport. Let her be.

DS spits up, vomits, and has mucous in his poop. DD had MSPI, so I freaked and asked my pedi. She said that as long as he is gaining and there is no blood then there is no need to make dietary changes. She said there is a wide range of normal and most things are due to their undeveloped digestive system. She calmed my anxiety and made me not worry before it was necessary.
ETA- DD had blood in her poop and was extremely fussy.

This is good to hear. He has no blood in his stool and only occasional mucous in it but he spits up so so much I was concerned. He's gained about 6lbs in 2.5 months so no problems there!
Eta - it might be my imagination but I think naps and the witching hour are worse when I've had dairy, wheat or brassica.
I received an order from the Gap and one of the shirts still has a security tag on it. So now I actually have to go to the store to get it removed. Annoying.

Rage.
I made apple pie today, and did a metric sh*t ton of school work. It's going to be a high of like 19 degrees on BF, so I got out of shopping that day.

Ds and I made chocolate chip banana bread tonight. My house smells so good! I still have a nagging cough and am hoping a few glasses of wine will help.
