I hit a trucks trailer hitch and damaged two doors. I had to make a claim on insurance. Since my H made a claim this year we might be a non-renew. I don't want to have to shop insurance.

Because UK inventory controls SUCK, I ended up not getting my turkey in the regular grocery delivery so I had to scramble and get one from Whole Foods. Yeah, that made my turkey 80 GBP instead of 25. Ugh. It better be damn good.

Please don't convert that into dollars unless you want to be really depressed. That better be one good turkey...
We usually had to order from our butcher...I honestly don't remember what we paid, but it wasn't that much. We lived in the middle of nowhere though, not London. At least you can eat mince pies??
I went to Costco. Twice in the past couple weeks. Neither time did I walk out spending less than $300.
Plus a trip to Safeway at midnight to buy the turkey. Plus another $100+ worth of groceries on top of that.
Dropped DD2 at her house. Stopped at the market to buy gloves, drinks and snacks for the homeless guy we passed. When we got back he was gone. So that was time and money unnecessarily spent (except for teaching the girls generosity...and keep the car filled with small, handy snacks so you don't stop at the market.)

Yeah, I'm not going to do the conversion. I did try a local(ish) butcher that I really like, but their turkeys aren't ready yet. Whole Foods was literally the only other place I could get one, especially on short notice.
You will have to ask RockNVoll if it was good. I'm not a turkey fan and my husband said it was dry. Blah.
I'm glad our CSA has ended. We were doing good for a while, but we got so far behind on kale/squash toward the end that we threw out a lot of veggies which I HATE.
