So. I guess I DID shop at 12:30 so I guess I was "Black Friday shopping". Though I couldn't drive home in the snow we're getting so I went to Target for contact solution, a toothbrush and a charger, so I could sleep at my brother's place. I still felt guilty!
I call BS because while you're saving money, it's your choice on your budget and how you want to spend the money. Also, I doubt there are any life changing deals at Walmart on Thanksgiving vs BF.
She posted that she got $800 worth of toys for only $300.
Nope. Still not interested.
um, I don't even buy $300 worth of toys at full price, which still adds up to a lot of shit. WTF is she buying? That is insane and I totally side eye this even more.
lol, she believes the marketing hype to justify her soulless consumerism, how cute.
“It can be exhausting for working parents and millennials to stay up past midnight to shop online, only to wake up early the next day to get ready for work,” Fernando Madeira, president and CEO of Walmart.com said in a press release.
This cannot be a real quote. Seriously, those poor millennials having to stay up late? And the whole point of, or rather set of statistics that got turned into a thing, cyber Monday wasn't to stay up late, it was to dick around at work buying things, rather actually working.
this is when i am so happy it's illegal in MA for stores to be open.
What? Seriously? I don't think people should shop today but that seems like . . . I don't know. Like it might be unconstitutional, through the contracts clause or something. Couldn't they do something a bit more narrowly tailored like prohibiting stores from changing their regular hours or something?
What if you need cream? Or buns for leftover turkey? Or alcohol BECAUSE YOUR MIL IS DRIVING YOU CRAZY? Are you just SOL?

it doesn't apply to everything. starbucks & dunkins were open in the morning, and grocery stores definitely are. i am pretty sure it only applies to retail stores.

Lol. I don't Thanksgiving or Black Friday shop, but when I looked at my child's hair and saw he had lice...off we went to CVS at 9pm on Thanksgiving night. I didn't even have it in me to apologize to the cashier for being one of the assholes that made him have to work on a holiday.

I'm going grocery shopping, lol.
I did have to go into Walgreens yesterday because someone used the last of the cream of crap soup that I had bought for the stuffing, and I couldn't rig a substitute. I couldn't believe they were open all day - I felt kinda bad, even though I used to always work holiday shifts and enjoyed them. But I volunteered to do so, I wasn't forced.
