Gel Polish @ Home

Does anyone have a gel polish kit that they love? I've been looking for one, but I have no clue what I'm looking for. The nail salon that I go to uses the Gelish brand. I'm not sure if I should stick to that brand since I know that it works on my nails? Can I mix and match brands?

I have the CND lamp, plus CND base coat, polish, and top coat. Then I started mixing around and found I get better wear with the Gelish base coat. So yes, in my experience, you can mix and match brands.

Buy a lamp on Amazon, and use whatever brands you like. I use CND gel topcoat over regular nail polish and it lasts just as long as the whole shebang.

dove has a system she loves, but I can't remember which one.

I use Red Carpet Manicure brand. I bought it at Ulta. The polishes are constantly going on clearance

I just used Jamberry Gel. I LOVE it!!! I just bought the base and top coat.

Oooh...that's a good tip. How long do you let the regular polish dry before adding the gel topcoat?

A couple minutes, just like any topcoat.
