Confession: I am flat broke. I need a job like, yesterday. I mean, as a couple, we're doing fine, but personally, it's disheartening to see such a small number in my checking account. Ugh.
Vent: I am crawling out of my skin. I normally work from home either in the quiet or with pandora on. The only noise is noise I, or the cats, make. My mother is so NOISY. Right now she's eating breakfast and all I can hear is smacking, sloshing, chewing noises. She's reading a book and will just randomly read some small passage out loud. She responds verbally to emails. She continuously talks to the (sleeping) cats. Even her freaking TABLET makes noise (she has the keyboard noises on). I CAN'T CONCENTRATE. So. Much. Noise. HALP.
Random: We went to a local panaderia yesterday and I picked up a couple of marranitos (pig cookies) because they're my favorite. They were so bland. I'm disappointed and I don't know if I've just been spoiled by our favorite TX panaderia making them extra spicy or if these were particularly sad. Anyone familiar with them, can you chime in? Aren't they supposed to be like a gingerbread cookie? These were just like sugar cookies with nutmeg.

I vented on MM but I'll C&P here. Ugh, My son (just turned 7) has this friend. He loves to have play dates with her, but her parents always invite their 2.5-year-old along, and then let him loose unsupervised. We have a baby gate keeping the dog downstairs. Last time the mom opened the baby gate for the kid, let him go upstairs alone (the older kids were downstairs with us), and then stayed downstairs chatting with me. I even said, "If you need to go check on X..." and she was like, "No, he's fine!" Turns out he had made a huge mess -- destroyed my son's lego ships, overturned a bowl of cheez-its the older kids had been snacking on and spread them all around, etc.
So, I sent out evites for my son's birthday party. Of course, the dad brought both kids again, and then let the younger one run rampant. Ugh. Both parents are super socially clueless too, this time the dad hung around LONG after everybody else had left, until finally I'm like, "So...my son is leaving now with his grandparents, maybe you guys should get going too." I feel like DS is going to have to lose out on his friend because her parents need a clue.

OMG, I don't have kids, but I would be SUPER annoyed by this!

Vent- H ruined my holiday spirit this weekend. It's my favorite long weekend because we decorate for Christmas. Well it the 1st Xmas in our new house so trying to put up our new fake tree in a good spot was hard...along with finding the perfect place for all my Xmas décor was hard too. I also had my aunt help me buy and decorate our house outside because I had no idea how to configure it all (now I know for the future). H was just pissing me off at every second with this snippy negative comments...he's lucky to be alive today...I hope I can get through the rest of the month without his tude...I told him off last night. Ugh. We've both been stressed/in a funk lately so idk wtf. We'll be fine. Today he texted me here at work and asked if the ABC Family 25 Days of Xmas schedule it out yet....kiss up lol.
Confession- I spent $200 on Xmas lights for the outside of our house. That could be another reason H is so cranky lol.
Random- decorating my house inside and out has been my lifelong dream and I FINALLY can do it!
I have too many things to do and not enough time! I am already sleep deprived as it is. My closet makeover is not going fast enough and I am going bonkers looking at the pile of clothes I have. I want to set up the Xmas tree and that probably won't happen tonight either.
Oh and while we were at my ILs house, DH made me sad by actually making an effort to clean up our random clutter like diapers and wipes, baby clothes in their LR before going to bed. Oh but in our house he can care less. You know cuz his mom isn't here. Grr.
I'm growing older but not up. My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck, let the winds of time blow over my head. I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

We met with our architect yesterday and I'm so excited about the work that will be done on this house. Once she has the drawings finalised, I'll put them on my blog. It's going to be so awesome!

Yay the first night without company!!!! Feels amazing. My mom has been here for two weeks and honestly it was too much. I actually got stuff done and took a nap today. Our house also stayed picked up too.
A long time friend and co-worker retired today. She retired early. We're the same age, started within months of each other. Our kids are the same ages (older 2 born within weeks of each other, younger 2 within days of each other. Kids went to school together, did sports & music and all the school stuff together. Young 2 each got married about 2 hours from here - on the same day but in towns 30 miles apart. We've just been connected... for 35 years. We've known each other since we were single and crazy, right out of college. 35 years.
I'm happy for her but I'm sad, I know we won't see each other often at all and damn it, I'm jealous. I want to retire so badly and it will be at least another 4 years if not longer. I saw her get in her car to leave after her exit meeting in HR and watched her drive away. I wanted to go too.
I am trying to finish a group project. Do I need to spell it out or do y'all feel sorry for me on principle?
Yes, I'm quoting myself. It's DONE. Well, I need to go through it with a fine tooth comb in the morning and then go to OfficeMaxStaplesDepot to get it bound. And then after my class, I get to write another report all by myself, it will be pretty simple. The teacher doesn't actually read them, he scans for required elements, spell-check, and plagiarism. LOL. He teaches at the school I'm transferring to also, you can bet I'll be taking more classes from him.
