NH&FR, but does anyone have a suggestion for men's cologne? Something subtle.
H has been wearing a cologne that gives me a headache since last Christmas (thanks MIL). It's awful. But, he's kind of sensitive so I can't just say, "you smell awful, H."
I'm thinking if I put a better one in his stocking we can get rid of this current one. He only wears it on occasion, but every time he does I consider throwing the bottle in the trash.
kams, I would "accidentally" break/spill the offending cologne No suggestions for a less offensive cologne though. Neither DH nor I wear any sort of scent.

That's a good idea!
We don't usually either, but he seems to like to have something on occasion. I don't like to with babies in the house because their poor little noses are right up against your body so much, but he only wears it when he has meetings or something. It's suffocating. I feel like it's all I smell on those days. Maybe I'm being dramatic, but it's driving me nuts!
kams Versace for men. It's light and not overly Musky. There's an ester in a lot of musk scents that triggers headaches. I get it from bath and body works Japanese cherry blossom.
I slept like a rock last night. Oh man I forgot what a full night' sleep felt like.
I have no idea what to get my future stepmother for Christmas. Except for maybe a muzzle.
Omg cupcake, that is the offending scent.
ETA: it must be me. Also, gift ideas like that seem so difficult to me. Maybe a set of tea from teavana or something?

Well shit, lol. Different esters trigger different people, it's kind of fascinating. My mother haaaaaaated my favorite perfume for the same reason and some others make me feel like the scent is digging out my brain with a dull spoon.
She's not a tea drinker, and only drink keurig coffee stuff now (so not even fancy coffee basket or anything). Argh this is tough.
That is interesting. I mean, the poor guy just sprays it once and I swear I could smell it from outside of the house. It killllls me.
kams , give Acqua di Gio (Georgio Armani) a smell. DH has been wearing it for years & I love it. IMO, it is light & clean.
Ok I will! Thx!
as I was looking around his drawer I noticed a half full bottle of Banana Republic Classic that is SO much better. I have to convince him to go back to his old ways until Christmas.

kams , I'm sorry. I feel like I'm overly sensitive to scents so that would really bother me. H just changed deodorant scents and it's taking me forever to get used to his new one. Can you put gum or putty or something inside the nozzle? (devil)

Lololol. Maybe glue? Hahaha.
I have an overly sensitive nose, too. I feel like my nose is burning
S/O cologne, I fell in love with Dior's j'adore perfume but that shit is expensive for the 3oz bottle, $122 at Ulta but $99 on Amazon. I can't fathom spending that much on that. I used to be a perfume whore but now I just can't.
I'm slammed at work.
I called to schedule an appointment for counseling for my teenager. She's lost her damn mind.

Just get her a bunch of k cups. And a nice mug. Kinda boring but at least she will use them!

I wear a men's cologne on myself. (Spicebomb) It smells like sexy gingerbread. (just pretend that makes sense)
I'm sensitive to a lot of scents, but this one doesn't bother me. It's pretty strong though. I have to spray it in the air and then just waft my wrists through the cloud or else it's too much.
I didn't get up and run this morning because it was raining and I have to go home early to meet delivery guys for my new dishwasher - so I figured I could hop on the treadmill while I'm waiting. Except I didn't think this through, because my delivery window straddles my daycare pickup time, so I also have to pick the kids up early or chance missing the delivery guys when I go grab the kids at 5. (they're only a mile away) So now I get no run. Or I chance getting no dishwasher. If I leave a note saying that i'm LITERALLY 5 minutes away and will be right back do you think they'd wait?

I'm particular and sensitive about scents too. R wears Ogallala Bay Rum in Lime/Peppercorns as a daily scent. It's strong, but it doesn't bother me at all and doesn't waft around like a toxic cloud when he walks. I can usually only smell it when I give him a hug or something. www.lehmans.com/p-4697-ogallala-bay-rum-cologne.aspx
For special occasions, he wears Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb. I like it well enough, and the guy at Nordstrom said that they get the fewest "too sensitive" complaints for it.

I smell like your husband.
(Eta which was meant to include a LOL. But without it just reads that I'm SUPER creepy)

Yeah I'd break the offending bottle and definitely give something for Christmas. I have no recs though.
My random: I'm listening to This American Life about high school girl dynamics on Instagram and freaking out about what will happen when Kate gets to high school.
