We went to a Christmas party yesterday afternoon and C ran around with the other kids. He had a great time and wore himself out so much that he fell asleep in the ride home, went straight to bed, and is still sleeping 13 hours later.

I didn't have a good night. Five hours of broken sleep. My poor little guy is sick so STTN has gone out the window. We have been up for the day since 4:20 and have watched way too much Paw Patrol and Tayo the Little Bus. Screen time doesn't count when they're sick, right?

I have a totally awkward gift situation. For background, we don't typically exchange birthday gifts with my BIL/SIL. SO my birthday was also over the weekend and my BIL and SIL presented me with a card. And inside that card, they put two BBW gift cards. No GC holder or indications of how much money is on these cards. Its super awkward because I have the feeling that they felt obligated to find something to give me because they thought we overspent on my niece for her birthday (we gave my niece her birthday gift early over the weekend too because we won't see her on her birthday and I heard my SIL and niece commenting on how much we spent). Its very obvious that these GCs were not purchased for me and were ones they had laying around. I guess I'll have to go into the store and find out the amounts and I'll just spend it for teacher/daycare teacher gifts? IDK. We spent the same amount on my niece's birthday gift that we always spend and don't expect anything in return, so I feel weird that they gifted anything to me. (and really, I don't need anything from BBW so she might as well have kept them).

Screen time absolutely doesn't count when they're sick!!!
I think we're officially done with buying diapers! DD has been potty trained since this summer but I've been putting a pull up on her at night just in case since we had a huge pack of them anyway. She's been waking up dry for months so I think we're just going to call it and stop buying them. Hurray! lol

We are going to Disney Springs and ICE at Gaylord Palms today! It will be nice spending time with my mom before we move out of state. Excited for DS to see Disney stuff. He loves Mickey.
I ordered some wild kratts stuff from toys r us, along with the corolle doll deal that was posted last week. The corolle stuff hasn't shipped and I just got an email that the wild kratts stuff isn't available. I am so irritated with online retail crap this holiday.
We had a great weekend outside. It was still nearly 70 degrees last night so we, along with everyone else in the city, went to the Festival of Lights at the zoo. It was great even though it was like Disney peak level crowded. This wonderfully warm weather making DH and I realize just how much we hate the cold.
Also, both boys are going through a Velcro stage and OMG STOP TOUCHING ME. Gah, the older one digs his little toes under my leg and the two year old smothers me with kisses, although sweet, I need a break and it's only 8:30 Monday morning.

Does not count! Hope your little guy feels better soon.

What is the theme of ICE this year? We always used to take my niece and nephew when we were in town for it, but haven't made it in a few years.
DD is home with H on Mondays, which he loves, but he spends most of the morning texting me every 30 seconds or calling me because of a funny story or question or whatever. I gotta work!

Inspired by the "giving back" thread I posted a few weeks ago, I signed H and I up to volunteer to pack Christmas hampers for a local women's shelter this afternoon. My inlaws are coming to watch L so I know he'll be fine but I still hate leaving him when he's sick.
I am sitting in my car in the parking garage trying to get myself together. It's my first full day and this will be a full week. I'm trying to take my anxious energy and focus it on getting healthy and losing the baby weight. I packed healthy snacks and lunch for the day.
I'm grumpy that I have to miss my workout today because DD is sick. She just barely had a fever yesterday so she can't go to daycare. I'm taking her to the pedi soon since her ear infections sometimes only come with a low fever and I want her on antibiotics asap if that's what this is.

You should be able to check the balance online or with a 1-800 number. Awkward still.

We had a hysterical girl on our hands this morning and I don't know why. She just wasn't interested in ANYTHING for breakfast, didn't want to have anything to do with my H (though I'd yet to get dressed and he was basically ready) and just was inconsolable.
Though, she calmed down when I offered her tomatoes of all things. I don't understand, but she had probably 7 or so in the car on the way to DC, along with about a half of a mini box of raisins.
I've got the day off today. Just dropped off the kids, and now home enjoying coffee and egg sandwich. I'm planning to wrap some stuff, mail out my SS gifts and get my nails done. Then I need to pick up DS and take him for his urology appointment. Fingers are crossed that everything looks fine.
Here is the story of the dead Russian from the family narrative. Speaker is my great uncle. Ann is my grandmother.
I'm going to make a plug here about getting your family's stories recorded for posterity. Take some time on Christmas and ask your parents/grandparents about their youth. Reading back through, it's uncanny how much gets passed along through genetics.

LOL H does drop off and will sometimes call with a funny story. Can it not wait until I get home?!
This morning I got a 4 minute story about how she ate eggs and when he wiped her face she scratched her nose.
Our party went great! Now we can relax a little at night, instead of running around like crazies. I am excited to start wrapping presents, I may start tonight. I only have like 3 or 4 more small things to get then I am done with gifts!
