I'm totally confused here. I feel like I'm going through puberty again because I'm so confused about what's going on with my body and hormones!
I stopped hormonal BC around Nov. 1. Confirmed O on CD 20, period started CD 28.
Cycle 2 I started spotting on CD 15, had cramping and my back was hurting. OPK lines were kinda dark, but still negative. After spotting OPK line was non existent. Amount of spotting has fluctuated to almost a light period to almost non existent. Today is CD 19. Had a big temp drop this morning, OPK positive. But I'm bleeding more than I was before. And it's red.
Andplusalso my pee has totally been cloudy.
So, WTF. Is this a period? Above average ovulation spotting?
It's likely your body is simply adjusting to being off bcp. My body did some weird things for a few months after stopping. (I got my period like 9 days early one cycle like 5 cycles after stopping bc.) It's pretty common for it to take a few cycles to regulate back to normal.
Anyway to establish if I'd be CD 19 or CD4? My assumption is that if it's 19 I'll O soon and see a temp shift, but I obviously have no idea what's going on...

Hormones are so confusing!
I had a similar situation recently with 6 days of spotting mid cycle, my body was adjusting from a mc. It turned out that it didn't really matter whether I called the spotting cd1 or just continued with the same cycle in fertility friend. It gives me crosshairs on the same day no matter if I count the spotting episode as a period or just spotting. I can see both charts by switching back and forth between light flow and spotting, all you have to do is change one of the days of spotting to light flow and it will start a new cycle, you can change it back to spotting to see the long cycle. Like I said, it still gives me crosshairs for the same day, one way it looks like cd 28 but if I put in a light flow day it looks like cd9. Sorry for the wordiness, I probably made that more complicated than it needs to be.
