Sorry sleep has been so rough namasteak. Our swing is on its last legs too. It was a hand me down to us 5 years ago and we've used it through 3 kids and even had a friend borrow it in between ds2 and DD. It's so slow and the motor sounds like it's working so hard, even with fresh batteries. I'm just praying it holds on for a few more weeks until we see how the crib transition goes for naps. She naps so well in the swing, I'm scared!
I thought I could tough it out but sleep has been getting worse not better so I'm caving & getting a new one. Ours lasted through heavy use with ds1 and ds2 so I'm not surprised just bummed. Fx the person on CL with a swing hating baby gets back to me soon
I'm so grateful that my part time job is super flexible. And understanding. Home with a sick child again. I'm only been to work 5 days since since thanksgiving.
I have nothing to add, except I'm friggin bored out of my SKULL.
My program was cut in an unexpected big lay-off on 11/2. I still have a job - doing nothing. I have been assured time and again that I have a position going forward, but they're still working out the group structures/changes to come.
So I have been doing nothing. Since 11/2. Thus far today I have: chatted with girlfriends, chatted with my parents, written DS his 'letter from Santa' for Christmas morning, GBCN'd and online shopped.
I mean - thanks for continuing to pay me and all, but my brain is turning to mush. If I could be "working from home" I'd be happy as could be!
Also I don't know what to think of the Kewl Kidz from middle & high school in my FB feed who are posting selfies waiting in line for The Force Awakens. I definitely got made fun of for liking nerdy things too much. But I guess we're all nerds now or something. Thanks Marvel.
I heard DS awake in his crib an hour ago, but I think he fell back asleep.
We might go to Costco today, before the pre-Christmas crowds get too bad.
I went last Friday about 20 mins after they opened and it was a mad house! Like worse than a normal Saturday afternoon. Hope it's not too busy for you.
It was definitely crowded, but they had a lot of check out lines open, so it wasn't bad. There was a big table where they were sampling desserts and that was madness. I was expecting a fight to break out over a bite of cake.
