The bp near my house. I had to make reservations about a month ago but it was totally worth it. I bumped into our mutual friend there so it would have been funny if you had gone.
I bumped into her and her DH and both kids at drop in, at the same time as I was there with two of my closest friends who are teachers, lol.
H has been on the drop in circuit this week as I've been "working", he was surprised he didn't bump into you.
Screw today's release of the AG Doll of the year (oh look, another blonde GOTY snoozefest!), news about the 2016 African American doll has been leaked. Melody Ellison, from the 1960s. Here's the book cover. She looks like such a cutie! I can't wait to hear her story, and see her wardrobe.
My daughter got AG gift cards as her big Xmas gift, so we HAD to haul ass an hour to the nearest AG store to buy Grace today... She debated Kaya instead, but the 30% discount on the outgoing GOTY (so gift cards went further) was too much to pass up.

I embarrassed a bunch of 12 yr old boys today while NIP. There was lots of giggling and then they couldn't talk to me for the rest of the night. It was kid of funny.
DD IS IN HER BIG GIRL BED!! Ahhhh my baby!!! :-( :-(
She's been in there for about 20 minutes and is fine so far. {knocks on wood}
She sits up every once in awhile to look around and then lays back down. She has two stuffed animals with her and is singing and talking but not trying to get out of bed or crying at all. Hopefully this smooth sailing continues.
DD has the stomach flu. Any tips on dealing w a young toddler w a stomach bug?
Line your bucket with plastic shopping bags. This makes disposal much easier. We use a basin meant for washing dishes.
Try to learn their "sign" before they puke. My kids both do a little cough. Immediately get the bucket under them because they suck at puking in things. I've had a fair amount right down my shirt.
Her: What is all over his face?!?!? Me: He has HFM. H: Only rabid cows get that! M: No mom. That's not the same thing. This is very common. H: No one in Florida gets that. M: It's in Florida, it spreads all over daycares. H: You never had this. I don't know anyone with this. M: Are you regularly hanging out in daycares? H: No. But it's not on the news. M: headdesk headdesk headdesk
We are at my MIL's overnight with H's siblings and their families. Should be low key but fun. Hoping my kids don't wreak havoc overnight. DH and I met on NYE 11 years ago so I'm always a little sentimental.

Bibs with pockets if you have them, and layers of everything - blankets or towels on the bed to easily change out, multiple garbage bags as a puke bucket and you just tie the top one shut and use the next one.
I also set up a diaper caddy with a water bottle, clorox wipes, paper towels, hand sanitizer, extra garbage bags, and boogie wipes. Easier to have it all together and hopefully avoid spreading germs.
I can't stop eating. I made jalapeno popper dip (with baguette slices), gyro dip (with pita chips), and fruit salsa (with Stacy's cinnamon-sugar pita chips). SIL just brought out a cheese and cracker tray. <)

We had a party for H's 30th birthday/NYE. 5 kids 4 & under. Everyone left by 8:15. Lolol. I'm enjoying some rum & Coke, watching football and eating snacks since I didn't eat a bunch earlier. We have 3 lasagnas leftover. Haha

Went to an awesome party at chickens987 . She and her husband know how to throw a great party and M couldn't stop talking about the "fireworks in London". The best is we are home, M is in and bed and H and I are lounging on the couch. Hope she makes it a tradition!
I just registered for a 5k in August and a 10k in November. I guess I'm resolving to start running more this year?
Babe, you're local. Let me know if you ever want a running buddy, or cheering section!
I registered with a friend but that doesn't mean I wouldn't love to meet up! Both of these are kind of the opposite direction from you, though. I will probably want to do a 5k in the spring too, any fun races down by you?
DH had a pickup truck (I have been annoyed the last 2 years he's owned it since we were starting TTC at the time he bought it and I told him it was dumb), and our loan and value were finally even this month, so he went in to the dealer today to see if he could get a good end of the year deal. He spent 5 hours there and we, well *I*, now have a new Nissan Rogue!
I'm so excited!
I'm not excited about DD not wanting to sleep tonight. I'm letting her CIO now, send more wine. :/
I had a long and good conversation with my brother (first time in years). DS stayed up way too late so he could see my open my birthday presents and blow out candles. MH who is not a baker made me an almond cake with Swiss meringue buttercream and it is soooo good. Now for some snuggling on the couch until the ball drops.
I am a failure! DD just wished my parents a "feliz navidad" on the phone. She corrected herself after a look from me and said "año Nuevo," but gaaaa.
And so 2015 ends.
Yayyyy!!! I just noticed that you are posting again!!
You are not a failure. My five year old is going through quite the Spanglish phase and it drives me crazy. I understand you frustration. They will figure it out.

Everyone in our house is asleep except me. 7 New Years failures.
My sister is thinking about moving abroad again. I'm really kind of upset about it, for a bunch of reasons. I know it's her life and her decision, I just wish it were different.
Omg. My incredibly intoxicated neighbor, a mother of two teenagers, just stopped by my sister's party. She leaned over and repeatedly kissed my belly in front of everyone. Her 15yo daughter was with her and looked mortified.
I froze and didn't know what to do. But I decided I was done with drunk people for the night, so I asked H to walk me home (next door) and drunk neighbor insisted on walking me home too. She told me the whole way that she'd be happy to babysit if I go into labor. Hahaha.
leonard131, I am glad you guys were able to come! I have to admit, I was a little worried about how we were going to pull off 40+ people, but it felt surprisingly low key (if loud as hell!)
