I also threw away all the left-over crap food and sweets in our house. I felt so wasteful, but better to go to waste in the trashcan than in my belly. I also went cold turkey last night on the wine. #thepainisreal
My vent is that most of our small appliances have broken over the past 2 weeks. Blender, house phone, house vac, shop vac, toaster and basement de-humidifier. It's stuff we use regularly so we can't just put it off purchasing new ones (well, maybe the shop vac).

H's grandma gave us the ugly ass bedroom set when we moved to GA. She keeps complaining on how it was Allie'sand it should go in her room. Allie had furniture. We only took it because we needed a guest room. It's so big we could only fit the bed in the room. We had to use the dresser and chest of drawers in our room. When we bought our house we got all new furniture except for the guest room. We still have the ugly set. Over the last week she has done nothing but bitch about this bedroom set. We didn't want the shit! We told you from the beginning we did not want it. We plan to make our guest room a play room in the next few months. She will flip her shit when she finds out.
It pains me to throw out sweets, but I really, really need to. Our house is a wasteland of sugar comas and fantastic salty dips.
I brought them to work after Thanksgiving when I felt this way. I can't throw food away, but if I leave it on the table at work I at least feel like it didn't go to waste.
My scalp is so so so dry. It's to the point where it hurts. I'll be slathering coconut oil on my head tonight and Google says I have to leave it on for a minimum of 45 minutes. This better work, something has to fix this.
Just had a deep shave biopsy off the bottom of my foot for a second time. I have seriously had like 25 moles removed, one three times, and nothing is worse than the bottom of the foot! Rarrrrrrrrrthhhpppt

Do you get highlights/color your hair? I am wondering if a shampoo with fragrance-free/sulfate-free could help? Or washing less? I'm sorry.

tea tree shampoo from trader joes.
Also try the hair masks ( hair doctor and roots) from Lush if there is flaking or scaling at all. They work wonders.

Mine is too. I bought Head and Shoulders yesterday. It's embarrassingly flaky.

Yes but only every 4 months. I did just have it done before christmas so that could be it?
I have really dry skin all over but I can't put lotion on my head and I don't think the conditioner is enough so I think that's the problem.
I have 30 lbs of baby weight to lose, and I am seriously struggling. I'm hopeful now that the holidays are over I can get back on track. None of my clothes fit, but I refuse to buy anything new because I don't plan on being this weight for long. So, I'm still rocking maternity clothes mostly.
January is such a bummer of a letdown, especially after the holidays. And my H is going to be oot for work for the second year in a row on my birthday. He'll be flying back that night, but won't get in until 10/11 pm because he's coming back from Toronto, so it doesn't really count as being around for my birthday.
I didn't gain a single pound during the holidays. I weighed myself saturday morning and was so pleased with myself. I worked out and ate pretty well all weekend. I weigh myself this morning to start a monday morning weigh-in habit and BAM. +1.2LBS. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
Our dog licked the turkey that we served to our guests. We didn't tell anyone. They thought it was delicious.
How did your dog ONLY lick it? Any time any of my dogs has had a licking opportunity they just take off with it. He didn't try to bite it or drag it away?
I'm with you. I had been doing really well with eating healthy before Christmas. But the last three weeks have been a delicious, but really unhealthy few weeks. The kids finished the cookies yesterday and I'm ok with not eating candy, so I'm hoping to get back on track.

What's wrong with me that this, like, doesn't really bother me?
I mean, yeah, it's kind of gross, but... eh. I'd still eat it. Really, without thinking twice. LOL
(No one will ever eat at my house. lol. TO BE CLEAR, I would not have not done this. Just hypothetically. I swear. lol)
I would eat it but not serve it.
I mean if it was a 30lb bird and the dog licked like one spot before cooking and you could discreetly serve that spot to yourself and then not eat that portion .... FINE. but still gross.
But I am for some reason picturing a dog like licking a cooked turkey all over then serving it immediately. And dry heaving.
There was a bomb threat at my kid's school today. First day back from break. I'm kind of freaked out, even though H has picked him up and he's fine and it's most likely a hoax. But still. Ugh. WTF is wrong with people?

Have you tried Scalpicin? It worked wonders for me. It's less clean-up than coconut oil.
I am starting the 21 Day Sugar Detox this morning, and last night I made my own "ranch dressing" per the recommendations. I just tried it, and it is NOT ranch dressing.
