lattelady5 Do you know anything about the safety of car seats and seatbelts in motorhomes?
Yes I actually just did a webinar a mpnth or so ago.
As a kid I traveled all over the country in a motor home. I have a lot of fond memories. However, I'd never let my kids ride in one. The crash tests are so scary they often just kind of fold up. The cabinets, stoves, everything in them are projectiles.
Car seats can only be installed on FF on vehicle seats. They're not tested to perform on RF or sideways seats. Also they don't do much good if they belts are just for show as the seatbelts aren't usually bolted to the frame. Honestly, I didn't realize how dangerous it was until the recent webinar. My whole extended family motorhomes but it's not something I'll do.
IDK how to post picks from mobile but if you want more info I'll pm you. I might be able to dig up a link to the webinar or at least to the crash test videos.

I would love any other info you can give me. Thanks.
That's what I meant lexus - given your past tragedy I would feel really sad if she couldn't see that aspect.
Also (holy thread jack...) how are you doing? When are you due? Do you know what you're having??
She gets it. Thankfully.
I'm doing ok. This pregnancy had been emotional and a little complicated but so far everything is fine. We actually have our A/S tomorrow so hopefully we will find out then. The baby is plying low so we will have a better idea tomorrow night if it's too low and I need to deliver at 36 weeks or if there is enough room and I can have my repeat csection at 39. I am due June 15, one day and two years after my due date with our son.

Another idea...is there another airport within a few hour drive with cheaper airfare?
The closest airport is Spokane and then we would have to rent a car and drive for three hours. The wedding is in the middle of August, which is too far away for me to check out flights yet.
OP would this work for you?
We've drived 2.5 hours to a different airport, passing 3 other airports, to get better flights to Europe.
We have always drove to see my parents. It's 20 hours. We drive from 5 am CDT to 7 or so Pacific time (so 9 CDT). It is one LONG day, but then the next the girls get to swim and go to a park on the way. We've done it every other year or so since DD2 was born.
Yeah, still doesn't work with airfare. I searched plus or minus three days, and all close airports on both ends, but it's mostly at least $600 PP. Spring break; going to FL. It's a high demand route. I think I just need to talk to DH about whether we could be gone long enough to make it worth it.
