I'm freaking out a little. I know it may be nothing, and I know it may not be nothing. And I know you guys won't be able to tell me either way, but I need to put this somewhere.
I'm 6w5d. I've been pretty lucky so far and haven't had many symptoms. I had like a 2-3 day window were my boobs were slightly sore, but only if something bumped them (like my 60 lb dog). Other than that, I've just had some fatigue. Many nights I am falling asleep on the couch at like 7:30. I'm usually ok all day, until I actually sit down after work/walking the dog/dinner. Then I'm exhausted. I didn't think too much of it all. Started to figure I was going to be one of the lucky ones who wouldn't be super miserable first trimester. Haven't even had a moment of m/s.
Until I started spotting today. I had a small small small amoint of light brown discharge yesterday, but not even enough to really be concerned. Today, this evening especially, it had gotten much more red (thought still darker red and not bright red) and more frequent/more in general. I told h and then I melted down. My first appointment is Monday. I know it could be nothing and may never happen again. And I know that it's possible it could be a bad sign. But I'm a worrier by nature, and the more I think about it, especially since I have pretty minimal symptoms and haven't even remotely felt sick or nauseated at all, the more I've managed to convince myself of the worst.
I don't have a question, and I'm not looking for anything in particular. Just needed to put this somewhere. We haven't told anyone, and though H has been a godsend tonight, I needed to dump it somewhere.

((Hugs!))
I had spotting multiple times throughout my first trimester and had red blood at times too. I also would have symptoms that would come and go and would constantly find myself worrying over all of those things.
I'm glad you have an appointment Monday, but maybe if you are still spotting tomorrow morning you could call and see if they might be able to get you in before the weekend? Our office was great about letting me come in for beta testing until we could do our first ultrasound and then did checks for me during the times I had spotting to help reassure me that everything was okay.
Sending lots of good thoughts and prayers that everything will be okay!
I had spotting at 6 weeks and 10 weeks with my first pregnancy. It turns out there was a small tear in my placenta. Very common. I was on pelvic rest until 20 weeks but all was fine.
My two viable pregnancies both had episodes of bleeding....one had significant incidences from pretty much. 9 weeks on until the day I delivered. I don't think I went more than like four days without bleeding of some sort until the delivery. With both of these pregnancies, I had essentially no symptoms.
My pregnancy that I m/c I had no bleeding, morning sickness galore, aversions, sore boobs, fatigue, etc. I m/c that one.
All this to say don't put too much stock in symptoms and bleeding, especially bleeding without significant cramping. I know that's hard but focus on getting to Monday so your can see and hear everything is fine.
I'm sorry. It's so scary. I also had minimal symptoms, and had bright red blood at 11 weeks, which sent me into hysterics. Ha. Hang in there til Monday! My doc also told me not to stress about blood unless it comes along with cramps. I'll be sending you good vibes! Keep us updated.
It is definitely scary to see blood, but I spotted/bled all throughout week 6 and everything was fine. You can call your doc to double check though. I called my nurse to talk to her about it
I'm sorry you're going through this, I had a similar scare as well. Minimal symptoms, went in for my first u/s and then had some spotting. If it helps, the nurse explained to me that your cervix is sensitive so after a physical exam or sex you can experience spotting.
I'm sorry you are going through something so stressful, especially needing to wait for an appointment.
I had light brown spotting very early on, and two incidents of bright red blood, one in first tri and one in second tri. Apparently I have a very sensitive cervix that is easily irritated. When it happened, my doctor told me to take it easy, "modified pelvic rest" (i.e. no intercourse), and everything has been fine since.
As far as symptoms, I think mine started around 6-7 weeks (and I had terrible m/s and exhaustion for a good 6-8 weeks).
Early pregnancy was very stressful for me - every twinge and ache worried me. I know it can be so emotionally taxing. I hope you get some reassurance soon and have a healthy nine months!
Thanks ladies. I know it can be normal, but this is my first (and my first pregnancy) and it really does mrs with your head! I feel a lot better. I'm going to take it easy until Monday and see if it helps.
You guys have made me feel a lot better (and a LOT more calm) for sure!
I would call and see if they can get you in today so you don't worry all weekend. I know how scary it can be. My ob would squeeze me in when I had spotting. It happened a few times throughout the first tri and it scared the crap out of me each time. I wouldn't put too much stock into symptoms. All I had was sore boobs until around 8 weeks, which was when M/S began.
I'm sorry you are going through this because I know how scary it is not knowing and how tense the first trimester can be. My only anecdote is that I had pretty much zero symptoms when I was pregnant with my DD and would regularly freak out because I felt like I wasn't pregnant anymore in the beginning. I hope you are able to put it out of your mind and have a peaceful weekend and get some reassurance on Monday.
Lots of hugs and thoughts coming your way. I am also a worrier and tend to over analyze little things. Just wanted to let you that I have had minimal symptoms this oregnancy compared to my others and it has freaked me out a lot. I hope your OB can get you in earlier do your mind can be at ease.
Just sending you some good thoughts. As others have said, it can be normal to have spotting throughout. It is so nerve-racking. I think that the pregnancy symptoms you have described for six-ish weeks are perfectly normal. A lot of people did not even experience morning sickness until a little bit later in the first tri or not at all. Hugs.

I had one miscarriage and 1 healthy pregnancy
Miscarriage looked like this: nothing was wrong, everything was perfect, then no heartbeat, lots of nausea and morning sickness and pregnancy symptoms Healthy pregnancy looked like this: 2 major bleeding episode, one was bright red gushes for several days, the other was stringy brown tissue like stuff for over a week and I never felt morning sickness
Could you call to see if they could get you in today? Just so you don't have to worry yourself crazy over the weekend!
Also, I don't have many symptoms until 8/9 weeks through 13 weeks, so just because you aren't throwing up every 2 seconds, and feeling weird or something isn't necessarily a bad thing Fingers crossed for you that everything is okay

Just another anecdote for you - I had some spotting a few days after my BFP, around 5 weeks, and called my doc to squeeze me in. They did bloodwork but actually also did an in-house U/S and everything was fine. I'm now 18 weeks and LO is doing well so far!
I had a lot of nausea from weeks 7-12, it lessened weeks 13-14, and then have been feeling great since week 15.

I had three spotting scares at 5w, 7w, and 13w. They, never figured out what was up and so far everything is okay. I also didn't get sore boobs until like 10 weeks and even then it wasn't so bad only if I bumped them. I did have nausea, but it didn't hit until 6.5w. Sorry you are going through this. It really messes with your head.
I'm doing a lot better today. No more legit spotting today - just the bit from last night. Had a little bit of brown again today on and off a little heavier than earlier on the week, but it seems to be minor compared to the red last night. I'm a little crampy tonight, but I had some cramping earlier in the pregnancy (like 2 weeks ago I think).
I'm still a little concerned, but for now I'm good. I had some stuff going on at work today, and wasn't able to get away to go in, so I'm just waiting it out until my appointment Monday. I plan on being lazy this weekend and trying to relax/rest. I'll be sure to update after the doc on Monday!
