Hope everyone had a good weekend. Back to the daily grind for me.
We had a REALLY good weekend. We bought a new car for me, had our first IUI, and hung out with friends. It was SO nice to have a low key and stressfree weekend. Even buying the car was stressfree (car dealership didn't badger us to finance through them or buy the extended warranties, it was really nice).
Now I am in the TWW, but I can't test at all at home bc they are giving me mini doses of HCG. So have to wait for Beta at 19dpIUI.
starryfish, What kind of car did you get? fx for you.
Morning! I've been MIA lately. It's been really busy with work, and we are potentially planning a move home at the end of the year. so It's been crazy.
I think we have decided to take the leap to do foster to adopt. doing initial research is daunting though.
starryfish- why do they do mini dose of HCG? At least it'll keep the crazy POAS urges away. :-) Congrats on the new car! riffraff- Nice to see you back and good luck with the foster to adopt, I hope it is a smooth process for you.
Nothing much here. AF due in about a week, counting down the days for IVF! It's unusually warm here and we had a nice late night walk last night.
Curious is anyone else here takes LDN (low dose naltrexone)? I have been reading up on it and I think it may be part of the reason I lost some weight and have been happier over the past month. Maybe it's a combo of a lot of factors since I started being more active and eating healthier too. Maybe it's the placebo effect lol.
FX for you, starryfish ! And congrats on the new car! That's exciting news, riffraff ! Fost to adopt is definitely on my radar as well, so please do share your journey as it progresses. I'm excited that you'll be getting started soon, @bigredgum ! Remind me, are you starting immediately with stims or going the BCP/Lupron route?
Nothing much happening here, TTTC-wise. Next appt is 2/9, which is when I expect to start stims.
Tonight DH and I are going to the Beanpot semifinals (which I'm guessing only janegold has heard of). Its a college hockey tournament between the 4 big hockey schools in Boston (including me and DH's alma mater). It would be more fun if I could drink, but it should still be a good time:)

starryfish, positive vibes your way! Sounds like a great weekend was had.
Hi riffraff, happy to hear that you've got a plan. Exciting times with lots of changes, good luck!
We had a low key weekend. Took our dogs out for a walk to see the ice sculptures in the city. The weather was fairly mild so it was nice to get out and get some fresh air.
riffraff what prompted the thinking about moving home at the end fo this year if you don't mind me asking? Also are looking at foster to adopt ehre or are you going to wait till you move home?
@bigredgum I lost 5 pounds last month. Now about to gain them back with ivf likely. I was slightly freaking out over it this morning and my h was all you look gorgeous no matter what.
scm1011 that sounds fun! One of the things i miss about mihcigaan is red wing hockey games. oneslybookworm fly safe!
Went to get a rental car this morning since mine will liekly be in teh shop for awhile. Waiting to hear back from teh dealership we bought the car about them paying out for the repairs (we bought a warranty through them so they should but they are being pain in the buts). Getting set up for my next semster of classes which start next week, i can access them today though so i am trying to get ahead becuase 3 classes plus working on average of at least 32 hours or so a week is going to be crazy. RE appointment tomorrow I am supposed to start lupron tomorrow. I am obbssevily stalking my meds they are supposed to be delivered by end of the day. I have to go pick up meds in town later tonight, which they told me insurance would cover so i guess we will offically find otu when i pick them up.

Our weekend was wonderful! I have been testing just about everyday because I'm a nut case. I got a super faint BFP on Saturday evening 6dp5dt with a wondofo dip test, and a straight up Pregnant 1-2 weeks on 7dp5dt on a digital on Sunday. But of course I second guess myself worried that it was my trigger still in my system even though the first 3 days worth of tests I took were a stark white negative. But then I tested again this morning (cheapy dollar store dropper test) and it was another faint positive line. Darker than Saturdays, but I also used a different brand test. So I think its safe to say, its a true positive right?
I had a bad migraine yesterday. I have meds I normally take, but they are not allowed during pregnancy and my doc didn't want me taking them during the 2WW. It sucked. I thought I'd wake up better today but I didn't. So I decided to POAS (I'm 12 dpIUI). It was negative, so I took my meds anyway. I'm feeling mostly better now although my back is killing me. Anyway, not sure if I should've taken anything, but a neg at 12 days seems pretty clear to me. Now just waiting for AF. I'm so bummed. I really thought we had a shot this time.

Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Blahhhhh. The weekend was not long enough to recover! I'm at another all day meeting (3 of 4!), but am leaving soon because a fire cropped up that I need to go put out. Last Cetrotide was last night, so I'm just waiting for CD1! All meds are at the house and ready.

starryfish 19dpiui is a long time! My first clinic did that with IVF cycles, it was 14 after transfer and it took forever. I hope it flies by for you! riffraff good luck with your adoption journey! My little from sorority got really lucky. The day after they signed papers they got a newborn to foster and 2 1/2 years later they just adopted him! Congrats herephishyphishy
